How does epoxy react with grignard?

Hello! Within the epoxide ring, one of the C-O bonds will break. The C and O need to form one new bond each: The O will have an H added, making it an OH group. The C will have the R group from the Grignard reagent added. You do have 2 C-O bonds to choose from in the original epoxide ring. The less substituted C is that one that will react. It follows an SN2 mechanism.
