Until 2008 - I had a Rand McNally map book in the car.... for long trips (CT to NC for example)- you would call AAA to get a Triptik........ As an Uber driver- I appreciate when the client helps me get them to their destination. It is their trip, if they know the best way - they should say something. The GPS is only doing what it is programed to do - which is not always the best route.

I used to always keep a "local street atlas" in my car. My wife and I used a book of Florida state wide street maps and AAA travel guides / Triptiks on our Honeymoon. We traveled from Central Florida, to Florida's West Coast - Tampa Bay to Naples, then across to Miami / South Beach, up to Fort Lauderdale / Boca Raton (Lauderdale By the Sea was fantastic for us), back up to the Orlando / Sanford area - all using maps and AAA Triptiks. good times man, good times 😊

That's a weak reason. Players used to have more pride in their game that's facts. You get that one time out of the season to bring the "ALLSTARS" of the league together and put them in two teams to see who's the top dog and put on a show for everyone. But not these players this year... these players are good but bum characters and divas. They can't be bothered.

I work for a SSA and we absolutely have to make calls sometimes to obtain specific information. However we always say that if they aren’t comfortable resolving the issue over the phone we will contact by mail or they can visit their local field office in person. Also it definitely shows up in your caller ID that you are receiving a call specifically from SSA and I’m pretty sure that’s hard for a scammer to spoof. We also don’t really use SSNs over the phone when calling we will usually use other means to confirm someone’s identity. Can’t really speak for IRS or any other govt agency so YMMV.

The problem is that there aren't enough superstars to bridge the gap between the old and young stars. 11 players with 3 or fewer All-Star selections but the league wants to rely on guys over 35yo who play limited minutes in the game. New guys like Luka, Towns, and Edwards said they don't care with their actions. Guys like Brunson, Paolo and Maxey don't have the experience or clout to lead the game.

Chicken wings over pizza. I never had pizza as a kid (except the elementary school pizza). Also, I'm the FIRST guy to order pineapples & chicken on pizza. Back in 1989 in Sumter S.C. both Domino's & Pizza Hut chains advertised you can have anything you want as toppings. I forget which one I went to first. but I ordered it & they said they didn't have any pineapples. I said "Yall advertised I could have anything I want. One lady found a can of pineapples & was really happy. She opened the can & the Pizza Hut or Domino's lady asked, "How do I this?" I said, "Don't pour any juice on it, just take the pineapples & put them on the pizza & heat it up." Then she asked if she could have a taste & then said, "Wow, I'm adding this to the menu." Then I told her "Add chicken as a topping also." I went to the other pizza chain the next day & ordered pineapples & chicken toppings. They said, "we don't have those as toppings." I said, "your competition does." They said, "really?" I said, "as of yesterday, yep." They added it to their menu. My job sent me to Hawaii then Australia a few months later & I ordered pineapples & chicken pizza. They charged me $30, in both places, for ordering "special toppings." I paid it because I really wanted it & I could afford a $30 pizza. True Stories.

I could see an ASG where rosters are the same size but it's 3-on-3, half court like the Big 3. Increases the chances that one of the guys on the floor actually cares. There should probably be some sort of incentive for the MVP ($1M?) but make it truly a street ball game. No fouls. KRS-One announcing the starters, talking smack during the game, and performing at halftime. It's ASG but make it Rucker.

I’m mid-50’s and grew up with 80’s & 90’s basketball and was a fanatic through 2010’s. ASW was my favorite weekend of the year. More than March Madness. More than SuperBowl. It was awesome. Friday night legends game or whatever to get the party started. All Star Saturday had Spud vs Nique. Larry with ‘which of you assholes is coming in 2nd?’ And MJ being MJ. THE GAMES WERE COMPETITIVE. Three quarters were for the fans but the 4th was for pride. Go back and watch the 2013 4th quartet when Kobe decided Lebron was done. Go watch him do the same in 2010. Or go watch Jordan as a Wizard and how THAT game ended. Think they weren’t trying? Then came Lebron. He ruined everything about basketball except the 3pt thing. That was the Warriors. And is a simple fix - do away with it. It was an ABA gimmick. But if your Center can shoot 40% from it, does it really deserve an extra point. The answer is not a 4pt shot. It’s handchecking and 2pts per basket, one per free throw. Fair is fair. But yeah man Lebron ruined the game. I stopped watching around 2015. This year I can barely name the players. The NBA is trash now. Literal trash. And the ratings say so.
