Whether you are a Christian, Jew or from any other religious background, as a believer of any faith you must ask all the fundamental questions about your own belief without any bias or emotions to come to the truth. Moses couldn't have written the Torah, simple reason is in Exodus he is. Mentioned. After his death when Joshua was in charge after Moses died. It's is interesting that renowned bible scholar Bart Erhman says that nowhere in the new testament do they ssy they were eye witness accounts. The authors of 5he gospels are anonymous and later copies have names added? What I do find interesting is Matthew and Marks gospel it is claimed that some of it has actually been copied from each other..

The only text quoted here is 2 Theslonians 2:2 NIV version - Not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us-whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter-asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. KJV version - That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. This text is denouncing false teachings and letters which claim that the second coming of Jesus Christ had already happened and is clearly telling the brethren that they are not to believe in such. This text is about a specific topic yet it is presented as though Paul was making a general statement about all of his works. 2:46 - 3:41 Your analysis is like someone saying, “I don’t wear slippers in the winter because my toes can’t stand the cold…” and you trying to imply that the person said they don’t wear slippers at all regardless of the season. The matter was about a specific topic, the second coming of Jesus. This is the third video I have watched from this channel but I only find half-truths and misrepresentations of biblical texts. Clearly, you REALLY hate the bible and keep trying to find ways to attack it. Your videos about the bible are very misleading. Proverbs 12:22 Try focusing on the real enemy. The enemy of God is Satan. When devil worshipers, wizards and witches, send demonic forces to attack or possess an individual I have never heard of an incident where anyone performed a successful repulsion nor exorcism calling on any being other than Jesus Christ. Problem is this: Christians claim their Bible has the true teachings of Jesus. Modern Muslims claim the true teachings of Jesus have been lost and Christians made up their own version. In other words, according to some Muslims, there are no teachings of Jesus. He's basically lost to history.

You interpret a verse incorrect and make it your own view for eg 2nd Thessalonians 2:2, "not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us--whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter--asserting that the day of the Lord has already come." Paul clearly mention there are some teaching which claim that the Lord has come and they might claim receiving through prophecy, word or mouth through the apostles hence one should not believe in it. This doesnt reduce the authorship or that the letters of Paul was not written by him hence calling it forgery would be blank theory which i found Jason Barton not comfortable to confirm on forgery. He said you can call it forgery if it happened but there are strong argument that the letters were written by Paul. Brother Paul it would be good if we can discuss. These are serious charges and there is no solid foundation.

How can we trust the New Testament texts ? Easy, Jesus started a Church with an infallible teaching authority. That infallible teaching authority infallibly chose which texts God had inspired to be part of sacred scripture. This is only an issue for protestantism.

So let me get this straight. We cannot trust the gospels because the writers are not specifically identified and so may not be by eye witnesses. We cannot trust some of the Epistles because the writers do make claims of authorship but we obviously cannot believe them and the forgers have just used famous names to seek authority. But the anonymous gospel writers used such famous individuals as ...er...Mark and Luke? Seriously? Why not pick a famous Apostle? Of course. I get it now. People back then were all just stupid. A hundred years after the death of Peter, someone writes a letter that no one has ever heard of , supposedly from Peter who has been dead for decades. That makes sense. Sounds like Monty Python to me. .....And now for something completely different.

He played devil's advocate and showed popular scholarly theories are built on shifting sands . not solid rock. I'm still waiting for someone to find - or should I say 'forge' - 'Q'. For such an important collection / document , I'm amazed not a single Church father mentions it.

How would the apostle be famous in the first place if the apostle did not author anything? However, if other apostles wrote about that apostle, and made him famous that way, then those apostles must have authored the books. If no apostles wrote any part of the NT, how was any apostle famous in the first place?

@@ewankerr3011 Why would they? - it's a hypothetical construct of modern scholars as part of the Two Source solution to the Synoptic problem. As reconstructed the source is of 235 verses, and is basically a 'sayings' document, leaving out reference to events in Jesus life, and his Passion. It's not impossible that collections, or a collection of Jesus' sayings circulated, but not in the form of a Gospel, and became lost. Presumably the Gospel writers had access to sources (and testimonies) now no longer extant, that we can only know of through careful analysis of the Gospel texts as they have come down to us. (Hence the different methodologies in biblical criticism.)

Not so at all. There is a vast range of texts in the Bible, even a set called The Apocrypha which are usually not included in non-Catholic editions. Form criticism and redaction criticism, as well as many other approaches help in the understanding. of this vast variety of ancient texts. Some are less central than others, the minutiae of the Law codes in Leviticus, for example - and now that there is no Temple, many of the rules governing priesthood and sacrifice are redundant. It all depends on how one understands Biblical inspiration, and the formation of the Canon, and the role of the Church both in the formation of the Canon, and how then that Canon is used, in common worship, teaching and prayer. In a way, there isn't much of a debate going on, and much less head-scratching than you might imagine.

The history of the formation of the Canon of Scripture is well documented, as are the variations. The content of the Canon has been pretty much settled since about the end of the second century. Modern scholarship continues to produce better and better texts. No particular manuscript is considered the one and only inspired one - which leads to my next point. For most Christians, a literal interpretation of the words of the bible is not necessary for seeing it as the word of God. Some texts are central, but not every text has equal value. It's seeing them in the context of the whole that matters. As a Christian I will attend the Easter Liturgies in Church, which take priority, being the most important celebrations in the Church's year and they're a re-enactment of the death and resurrection of Jesus. The date changes every year, and it is in alignment with the Passover, the festival Jesus was celebrating at the Last Supper. I reject your depiction of the Christian mind-set as involving some sort of false consciousness. I think we would disagree on what you would call 'accuracy'; the Bible is foundational and central, the inspired word of God - but how the idea of Divine inspiration is applied to ancient texts that then become normative in the Christian community, is fascinating. After all, the only Scripture of the earliest Christians, and the New Testament authors was the Old Testament.

That's why the bible shouldn't be considered as holy as it is, If you know the true meaning of the word...there is only one holy book and that's the holy Quran which has never ever been altered....still the same way as first time since revealed to prophet Mohammed 1450 years ago..4 billion muslims all around the world can't be wrong, even Christians are converting to it... People from all faiths and no faith are converting to it because they have changed their old beliefs and come to the truth about Islam and its beginnings, Islam was given by Allah through the Angel Gabriel to prophet Mohammed, this is Islam and not manmade like other religions, that's why it's so special and holy....it will outlast all your different types of bibles, God's word is more powerful than man's and God does not lose in anything he says, that's why he is almighty God the most high, only one and not three....

The bible was most certainly a holy book 100%. However,it has been changed and forgeries have appeared in it throughout time and therefore no longer in it’s original form. As a muslim,I have to believe in the validity of the original uncorrupted version but of course that version no longer exists.
