I watched her interview and interrogation I think , quite awhile ago and my theory is that she absolutely NEEDS people to believe that she killed this guy because he’s a rat because the truth is that the man she tortured over a couple of days was disabled. So going to prison for killing a rat means inmates respect you but killing someone that is disabled and did nothing wrong will get you killed. She doesn’t care about anything or anyone but herself. But guess I should watch the video and see what you guys think lol

Yes, I strongly believe this to be the case, as well as her attitude being a complete facade. This is supported by her repeated reference to "sisters", and her language overall conveying herself as being embedded/accepted by what she sees as her peers in prison. She evidently desires both attention and acceptance, which I believe is her primary goal.

I agree and usually the only reason to do so is either to protect your other affiliations or to capitalize on your crime (notoriety). Here's my take on Angela. The reason she gave for killing that man is not the genuine reason she tortured and killed him. She's acting a role throughout that interview, that's self preservation because she knows she's in prison until she dies and she doesn't want her time to be at the mercy of those prisoners who run their units. She mentions her "sisters" in prison only as an acknowledgement/appeasement, she's set herself up in a role and is letting them know she's one of them. She's in there for decades and wants her time to be as comfortable as is possible given prison regime. Again, that's self preservation. She's made it clear her children are off limits for discussion. Whatever the man did and was murdered for, disgusted Angela to such a degree that she knew she had to remove him from society, that's a very personal act and a protective one especially as she knew that by killing him, she'd be removed permanently from her children. She considered his actions so egregious that she felt her actions were a necessary 'evil', especially to go against her religious beliefs. She's clearly not psychopathic, is very intelligent and she knows the judiciary sentencing enough to know that despite his egregious actions, the judiciary would reintroduce him to society should she have taken that route.. and that wasn't a risk she was willing to take imo. Were her actions heinous, absolutely, without a doubt and despite the real reason for actions not being presented either by the prosecutors nor her defence - I have a feeling that the reason she never sought to reveal is due to a deep personal shame/disgust and would have seen it as a further injustice to her personally, and the judge is savvy enough to know they weren't given the entirety of the reason for her actions, hence life in prison and not DP.

I think as part of avoiding being attacked (agree with you guys on that) she made sure to say the media said the victim was disabled, but he could walk as well as you or I. Prisoners have a code and attacking a disabled man, torturing a helpless man for 3 days is bad even for criminals, who are mostly fairly normal human beings. So she presents him as being able bodied. It also gives the impression she is powerful enough to take down a strong man…more protection.

I'm new at this and usually struggle to see the visual cues, but my gut instinct is reliable every time. With this woman I don't get psychopath. I get a woman so horrifically damaged by age 10, she's capable of inhuman acts but is also afraid for herself and her children, so she's building a legend for herself as inoculation against prison violence or coercive threats against her kids. A true psychopath wouldn't care what happens to her kids. Her act broke down at the end. Thanks for these videos. I'm learning a lot.

Agreed.. but her years of hiding behind that shield created a disembodied entity filled with anger and a code. You can see she doesn't like confrontation but talks about being direct. I'm not convinced that the reason she killed him was because he was a snitch. It was very, very personal and full of rage. She also said that all pedophiles should be killed. If she ,herself, was sexually abused as a child...and she had reason to believe that the man was a pedophile. Whether he was or not, she may have believed so. People don't act out in that way, for days...because of snitching. Especially, as she didn't even know the people ( apparently) that he'd snitched on. I'd be interested to know if she mutilated his genitals. But, his body was badly burned so may not be apparent.

@@gailjoubert611 Exactly. Also, pulling teeth is a way of extracting a confession. She said that he had already confessed to snitching on multiple occasions. So, what was it she was trying to extract? If suspected child abuse was the motive, she may have hidden it as it would open up a can of worms. Killing a ' snitch ' gets her kudos in prison without having to relive her own trauma at a court hearing. I could be completely wrong, of course, and I'm not excusing her actions. The man she murdered, although he had a disability...he was very involved in the drug & prostitution scene. Was he a pedophile? Who knows. She may have suspected it and all that suppressed trauma came to the surface.

@@abigailfreeman715 I was looking into it a bit and apparently they had known each other for quite some time. Yes, he was a regular client of hers. I see what you're saying. Going ballistic is one thing but to torture someone for 3 days, takes stamina. The adrenaline of going ballistic, for what ever reason, doesn't last. This was drawn out and purposeful. I have no idea if he was a snitch or not. But, I too, doubt that's the reason. It just looks, to me, like suppressed trauma coming to a head. Perhaps he did or said something that reminded her of her abuser. I'm certainly not saying that he was a pedophile. I'm saying, that she may have convinced herself that he was. That level of disregard for someone else's pain and suffering, over days...something else had to have been the trigger for that. If she is BPD, then that would also explain how she might have confused the situation.

The biggest mistake as far as i’m concerned is to try and put one’s self in that monster’s shoes unless someone shares comon psychiatric traits with her than that’s another story. Nonetheless even psychiatrists who examined this concluded that. It’s obvious that this person’s childhood was most certainly horrific but not everyone who did does what she did in the manner she did it. Indeed she did become subhuman and having that in any fonctionning society or anywere else in the world, is unacceptable. Little is known about the man she murdered. Quiet an easy target for her, no family, no friends, he was a paraplegic who also had mental disabilities, yet she brags about her kicking his ass and killing him but there’s no evidence that coraborated with him being a snitch, she didn’t even know the peoples he supposedly help put behind bars…. She had been institutionalized since she was 10 years old yet she wasn’t able to be rehabilitated or did the system fail her? Was she even treated for her mental illnesses, was there a treatment for her at all? Was she genetically predisposed for what she had? Did she fall through the cracks of the mental health system? Was she able to get the right kind of help,the questions are endless… Bottom line is that her environment shaped her into a monster very early on as a kid and she did something that should of gotten her killed by law and at least she had enough lucidity to recognize that.

I grew up in the inner city on the southside (sou'side) of Chicago. I am 15 minutes in and I have seen these behaviors many times. She wants you to think she is hard because she cannot escape her situation. If there was a chance she could get out of it, you'd see different behaviors. Her behavior is to let you know she doesn't care, heck, she might even say she planned it this way. She certainly doesn't care about her family. She doesn't care about anyone. I bet she never visited her 'family' in prison. If you pushed her and pushed her for days, you might break her. But you might break yourself in the process. I know this type because I lived around people like her. She has never felt protected. All fragments of vulnerability that remain in her have been pushed all the way down. She can't let you see it. She never had comfort. She never had anyone wrap their arms around her and tell her and make her believe that she was safe and loved. She is like Charlie Manson. A product of her environment. Charlie wanted some sympathy though but only so he could manipulate you further. She baits. It is her armor.

The "Sisters" she is referring to are gang related sisters. She is putting this out there for survival/protection when she joins the general population. The same holds true for her "code of conduct" which may grant her protection and acceptance for following the "code". LOVE this channel, and the Behavior Panel. Learning new things and techniques daily, and makes me realize as a 28 year veteran police officer, how absolutely inadequately we were trained.

The day she was sentenced, Simpson said she would have preferred to have kept Neely alive and tortured him for a week. Simpson also implied that Neely was not her first. Phoenix police called "one of the most heinous homicide cases the department has ever seen." Simpson put Neely in front of a mirror and made him watch while she tortured him for 3 days by pulling Neely's teeth out, drove a nail into his head, bashed him with a tire iron, stabbed him around 50 times, and strangled him. Then she chopped up his body and threw the pieces in a trash can, which she lit on fire. Simpson was already in jail on an unrelated armed robbery charge in August 2009 when she was interviewed by police, and admitted that she killed Neely. Neely had been missing for about three days after he left an assisted-care facility in his motorized wheelchair on August 2, 2009.

Why does she deserve it when she didn't give it? Cry yourself to sleep in jail. You take someone else's life intentionally, your forfeit your own and you can't control the consequences of your actions, take whatever comes your way. Don't like it? Shouldn't have committed the crime. She's right though, she deserves death.

I will say this. Throughout my nursing career I have also worked in several prisons. One thing I did notice, even in juvenile prisons, many of their family members and friends have also been or are in prison. For many of them it is simply like the life they are used to. Growing up in gangs and the city these are the types of people they are used to being around anyway. The anger is just a part of who they are because of the way they grew up. In some ways it not that different than their life on the outside.

This interview was for the people she would be spending time with in prison, not for the interviewer or his audience. She is full of adrenalin because that very day she had been in court, and now she is pumped up giving this interview. She is very direct and honest for two reasons. #1.There is no reason not to be, because she has been found guilty in court and #2. She wants to tell the people she will be spending time with in prison that she is someone who will kill you and not care, so don't mess with her. When she says "sisters", this is what gang women call the other female gang members. So again, she is warning the prison inmates that she has gang cover in there, so don't mess with her. This interview was all about protecting herself in prison. She didn't particularly want to be answering questions, if she had been in court, it would have been a tedious and tiring day; having to sit through prison transport and court, probably very rushed meals, if any. But she is keeping herself pumped up because it is very important for her self-protection in prison that she give the impression of a badass gang member that prisoners should not mess with, even though I don't believe she was a gang member at the time of the interview. She feels under threat, with so much adrenalin pumping through her that she looks as if she could jump out of her seat and attack someone. Last time I'll say this, that woman is warning prison inmates not to mess with her.

She is the scariest person I’ve ever seen in a long time. Her eyes have constant rage and targeting in them. I don’t believe she has any compassion for anyone. The only thing that matters to her is her. If you anger her watch out, because she won’t limit herself in how she lashes out and she will genuinely enjoy hurting you as much as possible. That’s the only thing that gives her joy.

@@MeredithCarmona Lacking remorse does not make her a psychopath. It is evident she has empathy, the mere mention of her children evokes that in her which she's trying hard to suppress because she wants them 'off limits' topic wise. I've no doubt she lacks remorse, she's justified to herself why killing him was a necessity and it's not a reason we've heard from either the prosecutors nor her defence, she wants that kept strictly hidden to herself and that's a protective stance, so is she protecting her children, other people's, or herself? I think it's a mix, and that reason was never fully investigated.

I’m only ten minutes in, but I’ve seen this interview many times. To me, all I see is an angry little girl inside, who has been full of rage towards anyone she perceives could be a sex offender, and it’s just been building up for years. She wanted to get even. When I was a young homeless woman, I had to adopt this “outcrazy the crazy” method. Basically, if I was in an unsafe situation with unstable people, let’s say another homeless person high on drugs in an alleyway at night, you have to adopt a persona that takes that person by surprise if they approach you aggressively. It’s a protective measure. I think she grew up with violence being justified and bad behavior being ignored or excused, and she was hurt in the process, out of control of the situation. So like a pendulum, she had to go from one extreme to another to even the score. Edit: also, maybe she did this as almost a protective measure for her kids. From her warped perspective, a hurt little girl who never healed, who now has children to protect…taking out one more predator sets a precedent-don’t mess with me, don’t mess with my kids, because I’ll f*kin nut up and kill you. And one less predator in the world makes the world a little safer for her kids.
@Nikalette100
@Nikalette100 2 жыл бұрын
She is a predator and her victim was prey. Helpless and suffering unimaginable pain. So confessing, she rid the world of another predator. I believe she was certainly at least a neglectful mother…drugs, being jailed (she did not say she had never been in jail, just prison). At worst, she was likely a cruel and abusive mother. How did she find 3 days to torture the victim with four children? This was not her first experience of inflicting pain on another human. She had to go to extremes to satisfy her bloodlust. How do we know she had not beaten her children? It is far more likely that she did. Psychopath.

In an odd way, I respect her for her honesty, straightforwardness, and total acceptance of her punishment. And she does have a point with people having different reasons (good or bad) to kill. In the greater scheme of things, this, too is relative; with some people getting punished for it, and some not, even to the extreme that some are praised as heroes after having killed.

I see a woman who's probably been severely traumatized since very young. She clearly lived rough, I see gang-rated behavior / answers. She is intelligent. She feels she's stuck, will not reveal her real emotions, and the real reason she killed the man. My suspension is that the man did something to her child/ children. I do not feel psychopath/ sociopath. The laughing is related to relief. Relief that the convo is over (holding up the act, hiding the real reason for the killing, protecting her kids) and letting of steam, release tension.

I see a scared little girl who feels unsafe unloved and alone in the world and aggression is how she responds to when she feels taken advantage of which leaves her feeling vulnerable and when you are a victim of childhood trauma and not a single adult in your life who’s safe then feeling vulnerable isn’t an option so she fights because she’s scared. She wants to be loved but doesn’t know how to give or receive it in a healthy way.I don’t think she follows a code bc if she really believed eye for an eye then she shouldn’t expect any compassion from the people who are judge jury or executioner.

I think Chase is on target here. I think this woman has developed a lifetime attitude of bravado to survive. I find myself identifying with her in that. From an early age , 8 or 9, I survived predatory and violent threats by putting on a bold, blasé attitude. It worked, I think, by making the assailant unsure of what I might do.
