@@butchershoppequartet8690 But he is incredibly talented. That's why people put up with him. Listen to any of his old routines and they're 70 year old and they'll stilll make you laugh so hard. I re-listened to them after this came out and hoped to find the routines dated or something. They're not. They're still so good. He's been drugging women from the start, too, according to his accusers. He was in his 20s and already a success when he started. He's a psychopath.

I met Cosby briefly while performing with a musical theatre troupe in MPLS. We stood on stage with him while rehearsing how he would be introducing our group to the audience. I recall being so excited by the prospect of meeting him but then struck with how removed he appeared to be in person. I too had been a long time fan of his stand up comedy on vinyl, Fat Albert cartoon, and tv show. I expected the same warmth in person. There was no warmth at all, which didn’t make sense to me as a young fan. The aloof persona makes more sense now.
@Mehki227

I remember when his show was originally on TV and a reporter had been allowed back stage to interview him. The only thing I remember about the article was an oblique reference similar to what you're saying. It struck me at the time and all these decades later I can still remember, because I thought hard about it and it made me unsettled about him, but I also recognized that he might be, let's say, "guarded", because he had to be. He was not described as a warm person. That person was on to something. I remember, too, someone wrote an article at the time it was originally on air that the father he portrayed wasn't really loving; that the character belittled and humiliated his children with sarcasm. I think that person was on to something, too.

Remember what Bill Cosby did during the 2003 Emmys? Wanda Sykes was the host, she was working the crowd, and she tried to talk to Cosby. He was stunningly rude to her. Instantly, easily cruel. The footage is around KZbin. I never trusted Cosby after that. I lost that "reverential respect" I had for him. Judging by this interview, he seems to weaponize that feeling to bully people in his orbit. Thanks for your analysis, guys.

You just don't get to ruin a girl's life and it be business as usual for the druggist/rapist. Camille, I have issues with you too. I know you knew what Bill was doing. I’m with Scott on that last bit of being dismissive and disrespectful of the interviewer. Whatever he came to publicize at the time of that interview, the question on people’s mind was about the accusations. He went from a beloved figure to a possible perverted creep in the blink of an eye. The interviewer did his job, and he was kind in doing it. To be disrespected and outright accused of having a lack of integrity says more about Cosby than the interviewer imo. Great observations everyone! Chase killed it with his question in the last words! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

i have just realised that I have been mirroring all 4 of you. Each time one of you picks up a mug to take a sip, I immediately pick up mine. I have told my son (53, a vulnerable age) that I have been following you and am now expert at detecting lies. This is a blatant lie as he has been fibbing to me for 50 yrs and I know the tells! My younger brother when a kid used to tell olympian lies, he still does.Your programmes are just great, all 4 of you. UK

Great analysis as always, guys. When Greg talked about growing up in the 60s and 70s with Bill Cosby as one of THE top comedians--yeah. I remember him on I Spy with Robert Culp. My older brothers loved Bill's albums--Why Is There Air? is a classic. And yet--there's a track on one of his albums from 1969 about Spanish fly, and how he wished he could use it in womens drinks. He came right out and told us what he was doing, or thought about doing. And browbeating that interviewer by attempting to first guilt-trip and then power-trip him . . . total narcissist, to say the very least. (Edited to get the co-star right, I'm terrible with names!)

From a layman's perspective with little knowledge about his case, his Aw shucks sweet old man essentially threatening the interviewer and producer makes me think he's guilty of charges against him more so than anything else I've heard. If he'd have said nothing after the interview and been nice and friendly I'd barely have noticed or been able to make an initial impression but he made it so much worse by continuing. How does he not know that shutting up is the biggest weapon you can have sometimes?

This is a man who had power, past tense. Integrity, integrity, integrity, from a man whose life appears to lack the very thing he expects others to give him by right of 'I am the person in power'. From a female point of view I see a controlling man and used to manipulating his status. I see a predator, weak and feeble but still trying to exert control via his elderly status. There is still a faint strain of bullying without the charm The wife being there? A prop of respectability. Not a nice man to work for. Great video

Hostile thumb twiddling. “You need to..”. “IMMEDIATELY.” Cosby is furious that the interviewer DARED to ask him about such nonsense (truth). Perhaps if the interviewer had given him a drink and slipped him a mickey before the interview started then it could have been a no holds barred interview. Isn’t that how it works? As a rape survivor observing this, my non dominant hand went into a thumb protected fist. I know that I do this when I am uneasy and also when I am preparing for fight or flight. (I know, the last thing you want to do in a fight is put your thumb in under your fingers because you can break your own thumb on striking impact. Just what my hands do in a fight or flight situation.) As a narcissist survivor, Cosby sickens me and leaves me frozen.

You can tell in the past Cosby had a lot of power he doesn’t have now. He expects to be able to “scuttle” things. I think that’s how he got away with this stuff so long. He had that horrible show in the 80s that for some reason was popular so back then he could probably hurt the careers of entertainment reporters.

Hey Gentlemen! Here are some suggestions for shows, please! 1. A lighthearted show that (respectfully and anonymously) gives examples of or share stories about common parents/teen situations and how the situations were or can be analyzed. 2. What personality types are the hardest to analyze and why? 3. Stories about when you’ve gotten something completely wrong. What you learned from it and how you adjusted your strategies. 4. Analysis of Klaus Schwab, Yuval Harari, and Elon Musk. 5. How do you train your kids to recognize lies and deceptive behaviors? 6. What in the world was it like meeting a partner / what they do for a living (personality-wise)? 7. How is it for your older children in dealing with you? Have the people in your lives developed counter measures to evade your skills? 8. How did you all meet? 9. Counter measures that we can use in different situations. Cheers!
