That last one was just brutal. Dude got rocked by the first kick in the gut, that blasted him into the fence, to the point he got legit spooked by the massive wind-up on that spin Expecting to eat a heel to the head and just shrank in fear, then we he saw it didn't come, dropped his guard just to eat a massive right hook.

I rode bulls for 18 years and have seen, and had a few myself, guys getting absolutely slammed hard and just instantly go out. Its always a little scary. But it is so much worse when they don't stiffen up that first second after but instead stay "floppy" like a rag doll. That was always the hardest part to see happen. It just makes you sick to your stomach.
@Jetmech1781
@Jetmech1781 2 жыл бұрын
From what I understand, there's a mechanism in your brain that allows you to relax. When that's shut off, your entire body locks up. A floppy knockout isn't as bad as a lock up, from what I've heard. But, I'm no doctor. All I know for sure is that no TBI is good.

@@Jetmech1781 Also not a doctor, but this is called the "fencing response". Very vital to know, hopefully never needed for application. Limp knockouts look horrible, but in reality the least severe. When limbs tense up - but do not cross - along with neck and facial muscles (which USUALLY only happens after the initial KO and the fighter starts pummeling a limp opponent) this is traumatic brain injury (TBI). Tense limbs that end up crossing is referred to sometimes as the "grave response" (they literally look like they should be laying in a casket) which basically means there is no need for medical attention, the brain activity is completely separated from body - they're basically dead and the body doesn't realize it yet.

1:17 I absolutely HATE when fighters do this. He smashes him with an uppercut. It is beyond obvious that he is completely unconscious even from Lewis' perspective, and yet he follows up with 2 EXTREME full force punches right after Blaydes' head smashes on the floor. Usually I am of the perspective that a fight isn't over until the ref stops the fight, and that sometimes people do hit someone that is already unconscious because they aren't 100% sure they are out and aren't willing to take a risk, but this is just uncalled for. It is things like that, that cause internal bleeding in the brain. You've already hit someone and racked their brain hard enough that it shuts down to protect itself. Any damage after this point puts them at serious risk of paralysis or even death. This is all ignoring the fact that it can also break someone's nose, jaw, cheekbones or even damage their eyes in some circumstances. It just makes me mad seeing someone do that intentionally.
@jonathansnow8222
@jonathansnow8222 2 жыл бұрын
Ya man, it makes me sick when these guys throw punches and worse, hammer punches after they've knocked the guy out. If you hit someone as hard as you can, and they turn into a falling over statue, or they drop immediately with limp arms, and you start smashing their head, you're a peice of shit. Especially if after they hit the guy who's down once, and he makes so effort to protect himself, they continue to hit the guy. There needs to be some kind of rule or punishment for striking an opponent who is clearly knocked out. Someone is going to get seriously hurt or killed one day.
