A new mission just came put for an exotic. Made sure I didn't see any of the mission but saw the video titles about a horror mission in D2. Brought up an idea to my friend. He hated it, but I convinced him. We got weapons we were familiar with and used to, then turned off our HUDs and agreed to not open our menus or pull out our ghosts. Then we tried Presage for the first time, knowing nothing about it. The atmosphere and mystery was so much more intense than anything we had done in Destiny before. No waypoints, skill bars, or ammo count in a creepy, unfamiliar area with nothing but our eyes and ears to guide us. And we did it. If any of you have friends that haven't done it, I recommend having them run it that way before it goes to the vault. Maybe periodically make creepy noises through the mic. My friend didn't think I was funny...

That mission in the taken king definitely gave me goosebumps when I ran for my life from that horde of taken. Furthermore, that mission where you're invisible and in third person gave me major goosebumps, when trying to avoid detection from those ogres and ascendant knights. As well as the Rise of Iron tomb where we have to face the corpses of the Iron Lords controlled by SIVA. Plus the soundtrack made it even more intense

I only played that mission like 2 weeks ago, and god that was terrifying. I was playing with two of my older brothers, and they refused to tell me what was happening, so when we started it, I kind of just kept very far away from everything and stopped for a minute so I could figure out what was happening, and then all of a sudden we were teleported and I couldn’t move, we were literally just being demolished by so many things. I didn’t even see the red circles, I was too distracted by the second oldest giving us so many orders and things we can’t do. So when we respawned to do it again, I stuck close to the second oldest, and the oldest literally danced on the line without realising, and I accidentally let out a squeal and my brother shouted at him, but he tried to make out he knew what he was doing, but then continued to hide and let the second oldest do the mission by himself. 😂

One of my spookiest moments in D2 is the catacombs mission of shadowkeep. Losing contact with Eris and ghost simply saying "Run" as the lights turn off will always give me goosebumps.

My first scary moment was in the d1 beta exploring the cosmodrome with my buddies and we ran into an immune ogre in a cave for the first time. We didn't know ogres existed and it didn't even make a sound. It just casually walked around the corner and started demolishing us.

Great video Evade! Missed opportunity on the other dark blades in the game. Like the Haunted Forest. A killer dark blade chasing you around, immune to damage. I always thought of it like Jason Voorhees or Freddy. A super unkillable horror movie villian you can only run from. Not to forget, at the end of the dungeon, running across a falling brick floor with said monster waiting beneath. I miss the haunted forest, but this year's haunted lost sectors are pretty neat. Great lore also and Glint!

I love that the Pyramid reveal in Shadowkeep gets altered a little if had done an old questline relating to the Nine that Xur gives you. The Ghost recognizes the Pyramid because of you doing that questline and seeing one in one of the visions that the Emissary of the Nine grants you.

Then, everything just kinda disappeared and I was left completely alone. The enemies themselves seemed to just disappear. I was unnerved by it.

The spookiest moment I had was in the third main story mission of d1 where you encountered the hive for the first time in the cosmodrome. Walking through dark corridors, the radar shows red everywhere, you hear squeking violins. Then the music stops, nothing's on the radar, you walk around the corner and a hord of thralls attacks you. (I was fourteen back then btw, that's why I was scared of this sequence even more)

The escape f on crotas crypt always stuck with me as a scary moment BUT! The first, OG scary moment of destiny has to be the very first encounter with the hive in the cosmodrome in D1. Your used to the fallen, your exploring, it's all dark and gets creepy. You start to hear noises , screeching sounds. Then you enter a near pitch black room and for the first time your swarmed by thralls and thsoe horrible screeches! Almost put my partner off playing the rest of the game! Lol

I have 2 scary moments for me personally. 1. Going onto the pyramid ship the first time in shadowkeep, as I walked along the path and got to this open area there were red dots in the distance all around and they looked like eyes staring at me. I stood there and just looked around and even took a picture of it. It was creepy as hell. 2. In this current season doing the forest of echoes in the shattered realm. There’s a part where you have to kill 3 witches and then take the orb beneath the cathedral. Once you place the orb this huge death knight just appears walking slowly towards you from around a corner. Scared the crap outta me. He looked cool though. Reminded me of the Alak-Hul fight minus the pitch darkness. But the way he came around the corner just walking towards me all big and menacing definitely startled me my first time doing it. Honorable mentions for me: 1. Seeing Navota rip the light from one of Shaw Hans friends. Never seen it in game before until that moment. 2. Hearing Savathuns song as the theme everytime I started shadowkeep. 3. The Presage mission. Just you, by yourself… aboard this massive ship. Looking for the lost guardian and then finding his corpse at the end. Playing that solo with headphones was one of the best solo experiences I’ve had in destiny. 4. The intro mission to forsaken where Cayde dies. Seeing the scorn for the first time and then seeing the Barrons standing on the hill in the distance just looking at you. And that’s it for me.
