Nate Oats has had some really good teams at Alabama. The Crimson Tide has made the Sweet Sixteen in three of the last four seasons, but this year Bama has finally broken through into the Final Four.

Hands down the best A.D. move at Alabama (aside from Saban hire) was firing Avery Johnson after slight success and hiring Nate Oats in anticipation of his success and system

Great synopsis. Of course I am a die hard BAMA fan and have suffered through many many mediocre seasons. This year looked like another fizzle until it wasnt......and here we are. Basketball is always a game of runs. Period. David vs Goliath. RTR!!!! This game will be about coaching and execution. Ill take my chances with Nate. Hes earned my respect

As a Bama fan since the late 70's as a kid this was a fullfillment of all these years making the sweet 16 under C.M. Newton, Wimp Sanderson, and Mark Gottfried (1 elite 8) now Nate Oats has made the sweet 16 twice and the final 4 once. I have went and spent money to watch 2 games under Oats went to a bunch of games under Wimp. God Bless you coach and let's bring a national title in basketball to T-town. Thanks for the memories so far.
