Thank you, you beautiful person. I swear I felt a surge of anger with me when he said that Fenrir inherited Loki's trait of being evil. Both of them are not evil. Loki is the god of Mischief, he causes trouble because that's his job. My gods, half of the stories about him he has to clean up other gods this mess because the gods assumed he was the perpetrator. As for fenrir, he was taken away from his mother, separated from his siblings and forced to live in Asgard surrounded by people who are frightened of his tail (granted it was for good reasons but still). He only have one friend and that friend and up betraying him. I say he has more than enough good reason to be jaded to the asgardians after what happened.

1.) Jotunheim & Jotun are pronounced as "Yotun" & "Yotunheim" but are spelled with a "J" 2.) Loki is not evil, he's the God of MISCHIEF (learn the difference) and because of this the gods sometimes mistake him as the one responsible for many things like when Thor's hammer was stolen by a Jotun and Thor thought that Loki was responsible even though he wasn't (Except for Balder's death, he's responsible for harvesting the mistletoe and giving it to Hodur.) 3.) Fenrir is NOT evil, he was scared since he was captured & taken prisoner in Asgard but the gods let him roam freely since he was still a tiny wolf pup also Tyr bonded and took care of him until he grew massive which made Odin scared and ordered that the wolf be chained with the help of Tyr since he was the only one who can get close to Fenrir w/o scaring him away (Tyr tried to change Odin's mind but failed, I think?)

My Favorite version of the Hel Mythos, is the one where she appears dead under the light of the moon (I had an old neighbor from Norway, really interesting lady), but alive under the light of the sun. it always made a bit more sense to me, than half her body being a rotting corpse. Years later, seeing the Pirate of the Caribbean i wondered if they got the idea from that...only to never get a clear answer.

Okay, some things to address. 1. In most Scandinavian tongues, the J's are pronounced as Y's. 2. Fenrir was NOT evil to begin with. As he grew, so too did the fear of the Gods so they set about trying to chain him. They implored Fenrir to allow them to do such a thing as to demonstrate how mighty he had become. He did not become "evil" until they had tricked him and bound him. Which is basically like growing up with a family, and then being tied up and locked away when you do something to scare them without meaning to. So of course he became bitter! 3. You sorely forgot to mention who the Father of Sleipnir was since Loki himself was the mother. ... Let me know if I forgot to correct anything else but other than that, I'm happy that you are willing to share the mythology :)

Tyr, the Norse god of war in the game was depicted with four religions, Greek, which was the og series, then Norse which is what the new games are about, then Egyptian, then Japanese, so if they continue the story after ragnarok, it could be going in that direction.

What's funny is, like most things with Norse mythology, it was the Gods intervening in the lives of Loki's family that sealed their fate and started Ragnarok. Then again, the Norse (and the rest of mankind) do enjoy their self-fulfilling prophecies

This only shows that there is no good and evil Sleipnir stayed true to Odin to the end, and was a child of Loki. That's becouse he was treated right The other three were not as lucky Hel was cast to niflheim, the land of ice and mist, jormungandr was thrown in the sea, and fenrir was tricked into captivity, bound by the invisible chain made by the dwarves. And even more than that, he felt betrayed by the one person he formed a relationship with, Tyr. He then bit his hand off We must not exclude the fact that all three were half jotun, while sleipnir wasn't, and as we know, the gods and the giants are at war since time immemorial Who is right? Hard to say. There's no black and white in this story, only nuances of gray

And then there's the knowledge that Loki was bound to a rock by the entrails of the sons he had with his wife Sigyn. Some say they had one son, some say two, in either version their children were killed and their entrails removed to prevent Loki from escaping the rock. A venomous snake is hovering over him and dripping its poison onto his face and body, Sigyn tries to catch as much of it as she can in a bowl or a goblet but when it gets full she has to drain it and then the poison falls on him anyway, and apparently that puts him in so much agony that he causes earthquakes.

Ahh, I see you still have much to learn, young Muniraj. You still are blinded by Marvel's lies. Anyway, I guess I'll tell you, Odin didn't adopt Loki, the two actually became "blood brothers" (can't exactly say whether or not it's the the same as how the Cherokee did it, or whether it was even the Cherokee that did it first, but oh well.) No disrespect to you or Marvel.

Loki is Blood-Brother of Odin Loki spake : 9. "Remember, Othin, | in olden days That we both our blood have mixed; Then didst thou promise | no ale to pour, Unless it were brought for us both." Othin spake : 10. "Stand forth then, Vithar, | and let the wolf's father Find a seat at our feast; Lest evil should Loki | speak aloud Here within Ægir's hall."

If Odin didn't fear his dream and didn't seek to control or steal the children of Loki, do you think Ragnarok would still have happened? He acted because of his visions but was it his own visions that brought about his destruction? It's curious to think about.
