Grind Hard Plumbing Co

Күн бұрын

In this episode the 500cc snowmobile powered mountain scooter build the thing goes out for a rip! And it is scary fast. The scooter needed a completely new drive train, a custom gas tank, new carburetors, and of course a place to stand.
This wont be our last Snowmobile engine swap so Suscribe here / @grindhardplumbingco
This is one of my favorite videos we have done so far! If you agree let us know in the comments and subscribe for a top speed run!
This seems like one of those “when mechanics lose their minds” or “insane engine swap” kind of builds.

The problem is when you build stuff all the time you don’t go over the safety aspect because the end user (you) is mostly pretty competent and understanding of the machine. However this doesn’t account for unforeseen situations. Any time there is a rotating assembling or high voltage these things need to have a guard over them whether it’s a mesh screen or plastic there needs to be some layer of protection. The mindset is “I’m just gonna take it out for a quick test” but that’s when the accident happens. I’ve done this a couple times wiring something high voltage that was “temporary” then got distracted left it like that for days cane back and blew it up with 30 amps vaporizing metal and flashing my face. I also once made a dogbone type driveshaft to convert a gear reduced scissor jack to use with an impact (its freakin awesome) I had some exposed part of the driveshaft which I should have trimmed down or put a gated around but I got cocky thinking I’m he only user so it doesn’t have to be perfect. Well there was a freak accident with that and it nearly ripped my finger off when the jack fell and caught my hand. Those two incidents were enough to make me no longer do things temporary. Been working on machines all my life and luckily somehow have all my fingers still. SAFETY FIRST and nice build looks fun

Wow, came across this on the TV and had to find it on computer just to upvote and comment. Incredible job. Thanks for making the video so we could see your handiwork. I work in an industry just loaded with metrosexuals and ***gots and it's wonderful to see that there are still normal, young guys that know how to invent, fabricate and git 'er done.

great job redoing it all over again, though I would weld the muffler straight at the back of resonator, so it is just one direct pipe and better flowing as well,

Agreed, one of your best vids so far and one I've been waiting on! Sikk build and I completely see why you've done it - torque drifted 2stroke dirtscooter. From new zealand btw. 200k views on 2 days speaks volumes for the future of this channel.

Looks like it would also be good at garden work making rows for seeds to be planted, while at the same time covering seeds already planted, in the next zip code ;) It would be funny, if you could you use a high output gas powered backpack leaf blower, as a super charger. Great job and video. With a rear wheel change, you guys have a great hill climb vehicle. Or even create a new sport centered around vehicles like this.

Holy shit, that's a thing, i wish we had incentives to build stuff like that, there are a lot of talented people out there that could make a difference. Good work man, keep it up. Bring more content, for sure i'll watch it.

Awww man, I know that hurt! Reminds me of the time I ran into a 4x4 post with a three-wheeler. My knee jammed the thumb throttle wide open and somehow the rear wheel ended up on the back of my calf, spinnin 100 mile an hour! To make a long story short, by the time we got my knee out of that throttle my calf had chunks of rubber rolled up in it! I've followed this build since the beginning and I'm pretty amazed at the fab skills! You guys did a hell of a job! Real ass-skinner you got there!
