It might been him getting up to quickly. As a fairly young person (I’m in my 20s) I have already had multiple back problems, whether it be slipped discs, lumbar sprains etc. getting up too quickly has absolutely caused some searing pain at times. Enough to slip another disc? Probably not but I could see it happening when I’m older and not taking the proper care.

One thing about Aaron on Season 3: while it's clear HK was not the right show for him to be on, due to the stress and atmosphere of everything compared to how goofy and fun he was, I'm glad we still got to know the kind soul he had and joy he was willing to offer the world. It's sad that he's no longer with us, because I imagine him being up there with Sterling in terms of the most beloved HK alums for how kind and sweet they were in the face of everything. May He Rest In Peace.

Robert may rival Jon from S11 as the unluckiest contestant in HK history. Along with his medical evacuation, he missed out on a reward in S5 due to his obesity being too heavy for the helicopter, and only went on 1 reward in S6, due to swapping teams at the wrong times or going to the hospital again that season missing a reward his team won anyways, as well as the service the episode before. And his team tried to put him up for nomination that service just because he couldn't be there, which was pretty dirty gameplay. Thankfully, he's not only a very successful chef now, but has lost a ton of weight and is in tip-top shape physically.

It's obvious Hell's Kitchen is brutally intense, physically and mentally. But I'm glad that Ramsey has enough sense to draw the line where health takes priority. Ramsey wants you to work for your place, but he doesn't want you to work yourself to death. Whether you got injured on the job, got suddenly ill, or had a flare from chronic illness, Ramsey knows when enough is enough. He does value health above dreams. And he respects the contestants who have to bow out due to health complications.

Despite his reputation for being cutthroat and brutal, Chef Ramsay really only doles out the insult carousel for those who really deserve it. The contestants who got sick or injured? That wasn't the result of some power trip or unchecked ego. Accidents happen. Injuries happen. Sickness happens. They worked hard, they kept their chin up, but they got the short stick. He's just as polite with kids when they get overwhelmed. I remember seeing a clip from a different show where a blind contestant worried that her pie didn't come out right. Chef Ramsay told her the pie was fantastic (and it really was). He explained what he was seeing, he dragged the fork over the crisp crust, and ultimately, a different contestant lost that round. He's not an ego breaker. He's an ego equalizer. Anyone who needs taken down a notch, he does that. Anyone who needs a boost, he does that as well.

You should do a history on the hospital visits that chefs came back from. For example, season 11 when Jeremy had to go to the hospital after losing his balance and saying he had trouble breathing only for it to be that he wasn't eating enough. Another one is in the second final five episode of season 12 with Rochelle who cut her tip of her thumb off in the punishment and came back ready to be the hero in the kitchen mere minutes before Hell's Kitchen opened that night. It gets over looked because of Joy quitting that very same episode, I think.

Ain't nobody can beat Meghan in Season 14. She's strong, focus and very determined even she brought the Red Team to the pantry during punishment and tell them to wake up but the Red Team thought she was very bossy but Gordon praised her for her strong vocal. Even though she's mostly good at challenges, she has to face a lot of punishments because her teammates sucks. Even beating Petrozza Season 4, Jon Season 11, Melanie Season 12 and Sade Season 13 as one of the top 3 finalists who have to face punishments a lot.

these things happen in these kinds of shows, and it's sad that people are forced to give up because of things they can't control. usually they don't show what happens and just say that the person wasn't able to compete anymore, but in hell's kitchen they just straight up tell you exactly what was wrong... while it's a little easing knowing why they left, it feels a little weird tbh. like we shouldn't be entitled to information on their medical issues. I'm still a little on the fence about it.

As someone who suffers from PTSD, I can tell you emotional induced physical issues can be very serious. I lost my eye from one when it cause my retina to detach. As a former reality tv crew member, I have been trying to warn people about the very serious danger of reality tv. We push people into emotional distress for good dramatic content, but there are zero mental health professionals required to be on set (physical medical professionals are required). I was put on suicide watch more than once, but I have zero suicide prevention training. I finally quit cause I was not going to contribute to that anymore. People have killed themselves and others because of what reality tv has done to them mentally. This is not safe, and it’s not ok.

Bret beyond a doubt would have made it to the black jackets in Season 14 over Josh, possibly even outlasting Nick given how inconsistent he was in their season. I think Steve could’ve cracked the Top 10, and most definitely would have outlasted Frank given his horrendous service. Larry probably would have ranked 9th or 10th, while Aaron was going home the following service either way. Jason definitely could have been a sixth black jacket as opposed to the five on the original season.

For a video idea, how about the most deceiving chefs in Hell's Kitchen. In a good way or a bad way. For examples: Season 19 Cody entered with a very cocky attitude and looked like to be a very unlikable person. That changed around soon to the point he became very respectable. He even tried to tell Marc where Marc was in the wrong. Season 16 Johnny seemed like a decent guy, until episode 3. Started being such a bully and made too many excuses for himself.
