In regards to poison - the Arabic word for tomato is "Bandora" which is literally PANDORA 😮 Although it's definitely a staple today in Fattouche, Kabobs etc 😋

Not exactly Arabic. It comes from the Italian "Pomodoro" probably changed to Bandora due to mishearing it or just to fit the Arabic tongue. And it's only called that in Levantine Arabic (as far as I know) Then again, "Tamata" is also just an Arabicized version of tomate/ tomato

@@julieblair7472 the tomatos as we know them today have been introduced in dishes about 200 years ago, this is nothing. Italian dishes with tomatos are not traditional. Pizza as we know it is much more an italo american thing.
