I believe there are several that remove some of the more obvious settlement trash, but unsure if they are compatible with Frost. I used to use a mod that cleared up most of the excessive amount of unscrappable trees and garbage in settlements, however, it caused major lag issues in certain interiors.

Good morning Wandy, I was wondering if pencils have been nerfed because you used to pick them up for both wood and lead for 0 carry weight. Anywho, another fun episode of surviving the horrors of the wasteland.

I feel like you find really good weapons way earlier compared to your last playthroughs. Are there any changes or is it just random?

No, in fact good weapons are far more rare because damaged/destroyed receivers are far more common. The only "good" weapon I've really found so far is the laser rifle which has an OK receiver, bt still nowhere near great. And the knife, that's decent too. Previously you could make a Heavy receiver on most guns pretty early which made it a lot more reasonable. Having to wait until Gun Nut rank 2 is rough.

8:47 - Hold up. How are you able to even click on the workshop without claiming the settlement?

He explained why, later in the video. To balance out the Wanderer Perk, you can use workstations within settlements, but not the settlement build menu. In earlier versions, you would die when attempting to use them.

@@wolfen210959 I didn't catch that. I understand being able to use workstations, like the armor and weapon benches, but being able to actually click on the workshop without claiming the settlement came as such a shock.

Odd question/idea. If you find yourself constantly in need of wood, would it be worth it to scrap boards and baseball bats?

Hey wanderer, is there a reason why the normal onscreen display is not showing up? I mean the "hidden/undetected" and "searching" displays, and crosshairs. Edit..just before you turned left into that building, to kill the US Army Remnant in there, another one was walking down the road ahead of you, one possible reason why that car blew up, perhaps he launched a missile that clipped the car, taking himself out in the process. Just watched the clip back, there was definitely a guy on the road who you failed to see, fortunately he tangled with one of the bugs from the police station, which saved your life, you should have thanked the bugs, in a less violent way.

Same reason people remove the combat music. It's wallhacks sort of. Let's you know that the enemy near you knows where you are and is coming, instead of getting shot in the back by surprise like what should happen.

That's a semi-random encounter. Sometimes the junk dealer is there, sometimes not. Sometimes it's a gang of super mutants...

So, the Wanderer perk has been changed? In earlier versions, as far as I understand, it would just kill you if you tried to use a settlement, which I always felt was way too harsh.

It has the same effect basically - you can't use workshops, but yeah, no more stupid instant death. Better implementation.

@@TheWandererPlays Yeah, I can understand the mod developers wanting to enforce the player's decision to _not_ use settlements, but having it outright kill the character doesn't fit well with the "ultra harsh reality" vibe Frost tries for. Disabling access to settlement workshops is a much better way.

I'm pretty sure there were some weapon mods on the floor at 5:25, unless you left them there on purpose.
