OMG I LOVE, LOVE them!! I'm still listening to their podcast every single night (maybe 5 times around in the last handful of years, lol) on my Samsung tablet when I go to bed so hopefully, you're getting some YT $$ from my tiny repeated listening :) I have sleep apnea & due to migraines I can't wear the mask so I just listen to Jay & Ryanne & as I come in & out of consciousness all night I'm at least happy & motivated., lol. Selling a collection accrued over 30 years for only about 5-10% above cogs but I have 1000s of items, no records and didn't intentionally purchase items for resale. Have no savings and am using the money to pay off debt so I can't afford a tax accountant. Normally use Turbo Tax and I'm scared.

Question: My mother passed away last year and I’m selling her clothes on Poshmark. Can I deduct what she paid for the clothes or do I need to pay tax on the entire sale amount? Thanks!!

I would say yes, because when you inherited those items you also inherited her basis which is basically whatever they cost her.

How abut services? If you offered service like a haircut, how do I report that...1099k? It was less that 3k

If you're a sole proprietor it would be reported as income on a schedule C. You could deduct the related business expenses, and the profit would be subject to both income tax and self-employment tax.
