Very disappointing loss, I hope that they watch the game again as a club to highlight the differences between the 2 teams. Sammy's presser after the game was interesting, he still has a lot of love for the club and pointed out the difficulties the club has endured over the last couple of seasons. Glad he could recognise and point it out 💙💛🏆🦅

The dichotomy of the Hawks vs Eagles was on full display on Sunday. The hawks were in the exact same spot as us a couple of years ago, had an underperforming list with no direction and Sam Mitchell did what we should have done years ago. Gut the list get rid of your old blokes and get the kids experience, we aren't rebuilding because we aren't playing young and hungry players. Hawks literally had a younger list than us and made us look like a VFL/WAFL side. I rate Simpson as a coach, but his affinity and emotional attachment to the older players and those who are just second rate are holding us back. We have way too many VFL grade players in our starting 22. Our bottom 8 players in the 22 are the worst in the comp by far, including North Melbourne! List needs to be gutted and we actually need to start rebuilding, be ultra aggressive in trade period as a destination club and sort our shit out, that was horrific to be at the game on Sunday! absolute disgraceful performance.

3:39 "young players still learning what's required at AFL Level" That applies to alot of the senior players over the last two years as well. Its been unacceptable. Theres been alot of "such a young group" and "takes time to learn." But in fact the team, apart from a few, isnt actually that young. Hawthorn were much younger. Enough with blaming it on the "young ones," its the older and senior players who have not pulled their weight iver the last 2-3 years, and yet it seems they are immune to criticism and accountability internally.

Not to discount this dismissal performance of WC, but Hawks seem to play dirty footy. It seems they are breaking down the rules of the game to take advantage. It was scrappy footy which hawks always had control of and WC were a roo in headlights. Not to say taking advantage of the rules isn’t wrong but it came across as dirty footy to me.

They keep blaming the young kids for inconsistency but there are so many veterans and senior players that are in the same boat. Where is the accountability for that? Everyone can see Darling is obsolete now. Drop him. Not good enough to get to 300. Time for his career to end. Now. Not the end of the season. Make the tough calls now or it's gonna get ugly.
