Interesting that the groups listened for 30 min beforehand, rather then throughout the duration of the tasks. They should have a control group meditate for the 30 min with out any binaural beats underlying the relaxing sounds, only listening to relaxing sounds too see if it’s just meditation in general or if it’s purely the frequencies that cause the improved effect.

And I have another issue, Dr. Huberman. At what proportion are the 40 hz to most efficient, because 40hz and 80hz are double the speed, a 100% incrementation and span an entire octave , while the difference between 2000 and 2040 is negligible, like a quarter of a minor second in terms of music, and miniscule 2% incrementation in difference. I would LOVE to hope into a study for this

Headphones don't go down to a flat 40 Hz or lower. Most home speaker can't either

Fortunately the binaural beats that I listen to on KZbin are at higher frequency (220 Hz left ear and 260 Hz right ear) with the difference being 40 Hz. Since the 40 Hz is created in the brain, this works even with headphones or earphones that do not go low enough. On a side note, my Sony earphones do not go lower than 60 Hz in testing, but my headphones do go down to 20 Hz.

He means the difference between each ear. The whole point of binaural beats is for each ear to be receiving a slightly different beat in each ear.
