+AsapSCIENCE Great video, but condoms doesn't help a lot to protect against HIV/AIDS, because the virus is so small, that they can pass through the almost equally small pores in the condoms, so I wouldn't recommend it; but it is true that is better than nothing, also prevents for having unwanted pregnancies.

the virus can't mutate around the immunity mutation. the mutation is that a select few people are born with out CCR5 gene compound in there immune cells. without CCR5 it is impossible for the hiv virus to infect the cell because it's primary and only infectant vp24 needs CCR5 in order to replicate. without it the virus can't infect the cell

Why some people are able to make it to 10+, 20+, 30+, years after becoming positive and some are not able to make at least 5years. Some diagnosed for the first time with cd4 levels below 200 or even below 100 and are able to increase it above 500 after some months. But some who diagnosed at 350 or slightly above 400 are not able to make it for long years. Why..? When will there be a cure for it. And how many lives will be gone before it. Death is not the solution for everything. Some people get it innocently and some by purposely(without having knowledge). I don't want my woman to die from it. I can't wait to see her die like this. Who'll help me and people suffering from it. When will it be enough. The stigma around it is more than the disease alone. Stigma is killing more people than the disease alone.

Because I can't go to Google and ask these questions I'm going to ask them here and hopefully the right person comes along and can answer them and if they can't answer them I have my own answers as well. My first question is where is the virus when it infects a person body, is it directly in the cells or is it floating around your immune system? My other question, is if a person is on antiviral HIV medicine, and the medicine stops it from entering human cells and replicating how come the virus does not just die off, when the white blood cells have a lifespan of 13.2 days, how come the virus doesn't die off or while a person is on antiviral medicine? My theory to how to solve the problem is, is if the virus is still floating around, maybe it's possible that we take that virus because, it cannot replicate itself, study it take what information we need of it to make a messenger RNA to targeted it so that the body could recognize it and destroy it.

+Roedy Green How is it ignored? He clearly states at the beginning that HIV is spread through vaginal fluid and semen. He clearly states at the end that condom use can help reduce the spread of HIV. This video is about what HIV and AIDS are, not just a "put a wrapper on it" campaign. There are many people out there who are ignorant and have no idea what HIV/AIDS actually is, and this video is great as a tool to educate people. Taking 1 talking point of the video, and trying to undermine the whole thing with it is what's really ridiculous.

Had a risky exposure 27 days ago. on day 10 after exposure, I took an HIV RNA test from Labcorp and the results were negative. On day 19, I had another HIV RNA test done from Labcorp and the results were negative again. I'm planning on having a 4th generation test done on day 29 as well. Also, on day 19, I had a CBC done and all blood results were normal and within range. With the tests I've had so far, can somebody tell me if I can feel a bit more reassured? Has there ever been a "false negative" HIV rna qualitative test done at 10 and 19 days, and then a positive test happened later on? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!! My anxiety has been through the roof lately because of this.
