@JoelERea2 жыл бұрын
There are science professors using Tim’s videos in their courses. Look for the video featuring “Molecular Shape of You.” If I were a professor, what I’d do for any course Tim has a video for is play the video the first day of class. Then I’d tell them that if they pay attention and do the course work, on the last day of class when I play it again, they’ll understand every word and visual and reference in it and it’ll mean so much more to them and be that much more enjoyable.

Freddie specifically unambiguously invited people to rearrange, cover, spoof, do generally any type of play with his music, as long as they don't make it boring. He was the type of creative person to celebrate art in any form. No need to take offense on his behalf over any works out there related to his music. He'd just have been glad that people were creating.

+acapellascience Would be nice if you made at least a nod to non-reproductive, non-hetero, or non-cis love.
@zakzennii89058 жыл бұрын
+Sai (saizai) Thank you! You said it before I could. Indeed, the science of love is incomplete without a study of non-reproductive, non-hetero and non-cis love. In fact, the science of mating (in hundreds of species) is also incomplete only the hetero parts are studied. *sigh* We still have a long way to go.
@acapellascience8 жыл бұрын
+Zak Zennii +Sai (saizai) Hi folks! I'm sorry the way I made this video made you feel marginalized. I suppose I could try to explain why I wrote the song the way I did, but in the end you're right; I definitely have a blind spot. Would either of you be able to recommend a good review so I can get acquainted with the evolution of non-hetero bonding?
@saizai8 жыл бұрын
+acapellascience most of what you mentioned is identical. Endorphins aren't hetero. ;-)
@acapellascience8 жыл бұрын
+Sai (saizai) Oh yeah of course! That's why my only explicit mention of hetero relationships was in talking about evolutionary drives to reproduce..

I HAVE A SUGGESTION, Tim! First, again, I loved this video! I sent the link to my (almost) fiancee, who is a nurse, and she loved it! I love your science song parodies, and wish they had higher view counts! I've done my part by telling folks I know about them! MY SUGGESTION follows. Because the knowledge level of these videos is relatively high, there is a bit of a limiting factor in who is going to enjoy them. This one, The Science of Love, should do well, because of the subject matter, but more advanced topics won't do so well usually. Perhaps you could try making one or two sciency parody songs that are set to a lower level, just to see if you get higher viewer counts? These are great teaching aids, add interest like crazy, and need to be seen by lots of people.
@annesmith96422 жыл бұрын
The overwhelming clutter in this video is a perfect and appropriate illustration and depiction of the chaotic messiness of a brain in love. Well done, Master Tim Blais! I hope you have had a chance to test the theory.
