Can we still call it experimental hypothesis if we don't use the if-and-then statement? for example "Students who receive public speaking training will have a greater increase in confidence compared to those who do not receive the training."

Thanks for the video! If a hypothesis says humans have five fingers on each hand, and I find a human with more or less than 5 fingers. Does that mean this hypothesis is false/disproven? Because a single instance of a human with more or less than 5 fingers would prove that this hypothesis is false

It's not a hypothesis to begin with, it's a general observation with no causal relationship proposed. Since "human" is not a defined variable, you could talk about specific genetics that affect the amount of fingers. We could, in theory, directly affect the amount of fingers a human grows, but each person would still be human.
