I always thought it was interesting that the machine tries to hold onto the scientist as he’s taken away, and when they show it being put into the factory harness, it looks confused and scared about what’s happening.

It always amazed me this scene after rewatching it years later. Creating a machine solely to create and craft but was manipulated my the military to become a weapon. After realising the curse he brought on the world he gave humanity one chance to let us restart life. The human spirit truelly is a hard thing to destroy.

I can't imagine what it's like to know that one of your parents died before you could meet them. 9 is the only one of his siblings that didn't get to meet their father, just because he's the youngest.
