In this video, IM Alex Astaneh is sharing with you the Scotch Gambit which can lead via a couple of different move orders to the Italian Game. The Scotch Gambit can be characterized by the following move order:
1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.d4 exd4.
After black takes on d4, we enter the Scotch Gambit. Besides the general plans and ideas in the Scotch Gambit, the focus of this video is on the Perreux Variation.

I have been watching many of your videos over the last couple weeks, this channel is a goldmine of chess educational content; it is truly an injustice that this channel doesn't have many more views and subscribers, but thank you so much for giving all the information at a free price! I'm currently 1550 USCF, and trying my best to get to 1700 by 2023, I think this channel will help me get there!

Great video. How often do you think players use the Scotch Gambit. Like how common is it?
@Chessfactor

It is very hard to estimate how often players use the Scotch Gambit. What we can tell you is that it is a common played opening. On lichess there are some stats available based on their database and there you can compare the Scotch Gambit against other openings. Hope that information helps you.

Please include a small chess window other than the physical chess piece for an easier view, just like what you did on the anti-liver video. thank you.

Thank you for this video and the others which complete the Italian scope. After several months of practice with all of your videos that I looked at, I came to my final conclusion that this white-green board is much better than the cream-brown one. Could you please inform Andrey too to use this white-green one. Thank you.

Great to hear that you practiced with our videos for a longer period! We hope that you could improve your chess knowledge. What finally led to your preference for green-white board over the wooden board?
