This was a wonderful other video rendered in a way that arouses more than sympathy. Really well done. Your voice in whispering art, great!!! And yes,to ride an Ural with sidecar awakes just that feelingsyou did experience.... Awesome video. Thank you very much. I bought mine, a 2019 Ural TWD 3 years ago. Ural is still my dream bike. Riding this bike is so emotional. It's not me, it`s the Ural that decides which people or landscapes I meet during a trip.

@@davemetcalf8431 I try to do a longer trip every year, last year was an exception as my wife diagnosed with Cancer, but now she is on the road to full recovery and I suppose getting under her toes so she asked me to take the bike for a long ride... :) so I'm still planning lets hope the weather is in my favor, a couple of years back I went to follow my grandfathers steps as he was in the English 8th Army in Monte Cassino so I did a round trip to Monte Casino without using motorways and sleeping rough with a tarp in the woods, travelling down the East coast of Italy to Naples and then on the west coast up to Rome then through Slovenia back to Czechia. (used the same Bike) what are your plans for this year?, if you are ever planning Czechia drop me a line Dave

I'm sorry to say I really hated it. I checked in because I've long wanted to tour northern Scotland with a hack, but the narration really put me off. It's over the top and way too emphatic - "embracing chaos?" No, you're not embracing chaos, you're doing a tour with a motorcycle known to have issues. Let the story tell itself, don't have someone with intense whispers try to make it more than it is. And for heaven's sake, edit down the intro - it's over 25% of the whole video, and adds nothing. I really wanted to like this, but I can't. 😒

It made me wonder .. interesting how do you start the engine, coz its kick is on the left side and there is no electric starter .. is there really enough space between the sidecar and bike? .. and yeah .. this thing has a Dniepr's engine so basically it's not Ural, though both - Dniepr and Ural are 650 cc and look pretty similar .. however, their engines are completely different in construction.

@@davemetcalf8431 only just. I discovered a creaking from the sidecar wheel, thought maybe the bearing a bit loose, well it was slightly, but the spokes completely with an inch or more play at the rim. You do put quite a strain on wheels in a combination, unlike a solo. I use£ to enjoy left hand corners too much! (LH sidecar, now not allowed in UK, but great for scaring passengers)
