Rn thats me honestly my cat (Chen Cha) has been really on edge, normally she isn’t like this but we brought in a new cat (Gibbson) and ever since then she has been hissing and scratching and about 5 days ago they had a cat fight. Took them both to the vet, gibbson is okay, but chen cha got her by gibbson and it was bleeding. Called the vet they said only had appointment available on saturday at 2pm. I called friday to see if they can fit her in but they said no, and her injury was getting smelly. I went in saturday and they told me “Next time it happens bring her in earlier and not wait so long”…… I didn’t say anything but I was stressed and overwhelmed, even now bc she has an infection in her ears, she needs to take in liquid medicine for the injury and her infection and she wont let me give her medicine, we have tried to scruff her, wrap her in a towel, hold her still- idk what to do anymore at this point. Like I said she has never been like this, she normally likes to cuddle and lets me pet her and lets me give her kisses 🥹

@@jaeee0393 please look up vids and info on how to introduce new cats. Don't just throw the new cat in there and hope for the best... As for meds, you can just rather hide it in wet food (I cram it into the chunks) or get pill pockets from Greenies. Peanut butter is also great for hiding pills and cause it's sticky the pill is less likely to be spat out.

alot less resistance? That is no resistance, this is like every other cat video that says they have a rough cat, but the cat just sits there and takes it. If all my cat did was a sad face, I'd consider it to be a success. I love how every clip shrugs off the fact you can just carry your cat and put her over the towel and wrap it around her.

@@irismoon8435 Just rather hide the pills in some wet food or pill pockets. I don't have pill pockets where I'm from so I make a mixture of wet food (the pate kind) and peanut butter to wrap around the pill. The PB works great cause it's sticky so chances are the pill will get licked up together. I also asked if some pills could be in liquid form so I could easily just add it to some gravy.

Once you get them by the scruff they're easy work. Just put them on the towel and wrap them up. I've done it with the friendliest cats in the world to the worst cats from hell and I haven't gotten scratched or bitten yet! I should knock on wood now but yea. Great video, but my problem is partially ME because I'm "older' (ok...old) and if I get down on the floor to capture them in the towel, THAT'S where I'm gonna' be until the cat has been freed from the towel 'cause some of us older folks have knee problems that make it nearly impossible to get up from the floor. I have an old feral boy (with s TINY tame streak) who needs to go to the vet for a prednisone injection, but since the LAST time he was coerced into a cage to take him, he's gotten "wiser" and he's NOT going into the cage for his food. Been trying for over 2 weeks at this point! He's NOT gettin' on a raised surface if a human is around EITHER! But, your tip about getting them used to the towel under them is a VERY good one... I'm sure it will come in handy with my inside cats when it's vet time; they'll be easier since they all get on the bed! LOL

my cat has a wound thats bleeding again, basically we wrap it , spray it, sometimes after spraying it would bleed then it wouldn't. He is on a appetite stim and we gave him a little more to help him eat more, he hasn't been eating last few days much, we would lower the appete stim back and he doeskin eat but seems the bleeding on the wound stops. I think for some reason I think above the wound there is a area that is hard like blood pooling into the wound or something.

Thanks for the details. It's been many years since I've had a really difficult cat and a cat demon next door who comes and attacks my cats in broad daylight. Hence the need to medicate. She's otherwise a very sweet and retiring kitty but with meds, it's scratch, claw, hiss and OW! BTW for judgy people I was outside with the cats; it still happened. *1/2 hour later* tried a trial run with 7 month-old very rambunctious male (neutered) kitten. Even with scruffing (he got insulted) I could NOT secure him in the towel. Those back legs were like clawed kicking stilts, no way I could wrap him. Good thing he's not the one I'll be medicating.

My female cat who used to be feral really hates when I give her worming medicine for tapeworm she even yells at me while I’m doing it. We make up with a nice bowl of freeze dries. Had to learn she keeps the pill right in the back of her mouth and would spit it out so I have the check her after and make sure she swallows.

We used to do this to our cats all the time, but we just basically put them in the middle, with one edge under their neck and grabbed the two ends of the towel with one hand over their back, and made sure to block them from backing up with our body, so they couldn't go forward or backward. Usually worked well. One does need to practice, but it's a great technique.

4:32 am my cat hates to be held and always has so the moment he feels you try to hold him or wrap him he goes crazy plus I am disabled so I can't get on the floor. Any help?

I am so grateful I found your video! This one helped the most. I’ve been trying to give my cat liquid meds through a syringe for the last few days and have struggled to keep him secure and also to keep me calm lol. I feel so stressed every time, because he looks so uncomfortable and flinches when I put the syringe in his mouth. But, having him on the floor, placing him on the towel, and using your wrapping method really kept my cat still! One thing I’ll add too is to squirt the meds quickly into the back of your cat’s throat...I had to learn this hard way after attempting to give him a slow dribble (because I was afraid of choking him) but I think that’s much worse than a quick squirt, because then they taste the meds longer and get progressively more disgruntled and vicious. TL;DR thank you so much, you are a lifesaver for me and my cat!

I like how every video about how to wrap a troublesome cat in a towel doesn't involve a troublesome cat.. Good luck wrapping a cat which knows you're going to wrap him and doesn't want to be wrapped.

Have you gone through that? What worked for you? My cat is impossible

@@labraham1025 There's no easy solution, but you don't want to startle the cat or try to trick them. It only makes things worse later on because they are smart. Best thing to do is get your cat used to being held or touched. Then you place them on the towel. Grip them firmly with one hand and use the other to drape the ends of the towel over them. The cats head should be facing away from you. Using one hand you pull on the cats neck from the front toward you so they can't move forward or backwards.

Thanks very much. Just discovered ear mites and our big sweet boy has super cat strength when getting medication so I think this will help.

I needed this. I've got to give my cat ear medicine and I've been dreading it so this was helpful. Also, your black cat is my cat's twin🐈⬛. Thank you for this video✌🏾

Last time I wrapped him with a blanket everytime he saw the blanket he would run. He's very resistant to medicine.

I have a very resistance cat. Even when I touch his ears he just "closes" them and it is more difficult to clean them. I can't even hold to him as I have no help. Any advice?

Wow, that looks like a lot of work. My cat had to take pills for a week because of an infection. At another time, I had to put some ointment in her eyes. I regularly trimmed her claws. I never had to restrain her like that. She just let me do what had to be done. I guess I'm lucky.
