The Screamers - The Scream

It was me who deciphered the lyrics for this for synthpunk.org years and years ago. The guy who ran it (RIP, forget the name, sorry), had some various guesses with lots of question marks. But me, being a language learner and teacher knew how to spend a lot of time listening again and again and using context to make sense of it. Probably now everyone thinks the lyrics are obvious, because now they're shared everywhere, but at the time it wasn't the case. I remember the first words there then were 'I've got a girl (???)', and plenty of gaps and question marks all over the place though the whole thing. Though, of course, I may have made a mistake. Though the lyrics haven't been changed since, and the question marks have now been removed. I'm not sure if a band member ever checked.
