Dave Gleeson came from my hometown of Cardiff, New South Wales, Australia. I knew his younger sister Angela and his father Paul well. His father was not happy with his involvement in the Screaming Jets, and that was the reason for the lyrics in the song "Better". It was all about his strained relationship with his father. My late wife and ! even played music with Dave Gleeson at, would you believe, the 50th anniversary celebration of our Catholic parish in 1989. I have to agree that they were a great band!

great band ? but so, so, so, many bad decisions in career terms........... once upon a time they could have been world famous........... but they seem to prefer shooting themselves in the foot and FAILING............... us, their fans, have watched this happen, again and again and again......... across multiple line-ups........... just hopeless businessmen......
