My parents pretended to be like this when we were kids. I never even realized we were actually homeless at one point in our life. And when I grew up and know the truth, things finally makes sense why we did some things we did. It makes me appreciate my parents for how hard they tried to give us the childhood other kids get even though they could barely eat themselves. Right now, I'm a subspecialist doctor, my brothers became an engineer, a trading businessman, and a gaming animator. With the excess of our salary, we bought them a comfortable house and their dream car. Something they were never able to buy when they were younger. They're our gifts for them because none of us would be where we are without their hard sacrifice. I'm crying while watching this because it hits home so bad. Makes me so emotional.

I AM SO GLAD AND HAPPY FOR YOU!! my dad is a senior architect in a big company and his sister is a professor in computer engineering Phd. They were also struggling so much back when they were kids. Now they give their kids everything who are us. Sometimes, I feel like I am tooo fortunate and I feel like I may never accomplish what they had accomplished. I feel like I may never pay dad back as much as he provided for me. I hope I can in the future.

I know most people think of this song as a song about poverty and trying to overcome it but for me this song reminds me to keep fighting. I am half deaf and when I was younger nobody really believed I could be anything other than dumb. I had teachers tell me that I would never learn to read, I was excluded for being unteachable and I wasn’t allowed to use my hearing aids. One teacher even used to purposely break them but I never wanted them to be right so I worked twice as hard than everyone in my class and I did well in school. This song always reminds me that I have come so far and to not let others break me as I have fought through things that would have made most people give up. If anybody is struggling in any situation they are in you do have the strength to fight it and it might take years before you win but if you persevere you will win

I shed tears cuz I'm in my adult phase now and know the deep meaning of this song. it made me emotional after not listening to it in a long time.

My parents don't have enough money to pay our living. When I told people around me I wanna be a doctor, they make fun of me. They said I NEVER able to do that because my family couldn't afford that. They said my dream is the burden of my family. So I started study so hard. And finally I got a full scholarship in meds. But my parents cannot pay my living bills. So I have to work & study at the same time. This year is my last year in meds. Somehow, this song makes me emotional.

I am not a victim of breast cancer. I am experiencing breast cancer. I am not dying. I am living. I am not curing. I am healing and restoring. I am not fearing. I am loving and trusting. I am not fighting. I am ceasing all hostility and conflict. I am not weak or diminished. I am strong and whole and complete. I am not coping or hoping. I am giving and receiving, creating and conceiving. I am not crying. I am laughing until the tears run down my leg. My body is not my enemy. My body is my loving friend, my gentle guide. My life story is not history. My life story is legendary. I am not powerless. I am powerful beyond measure. I am not a drop in the ocean. I am the ocean in a drop. I am not scattered. I am aligned. I am not being destroyed. I am building my sacred stature. I am not trapped or caged. I am as free as a feathery fledgling. My body is not a muddy puddle of despair. My body is a hallowed temple of spirit. I am not filled with shadows. I am filled with illuminating light. I am not a passive puppet. I am an active advocate and enthusiastic participant. I am not tired and bested. I am tied and invested. I am not without a voice or meaning or purpose. I am an angelic messenger. I am not discarded. I am needed. This was taught to me by an English teacher whom I respect. Since then, I listen to it often and feel energized. The teacher had heart disease and was unable to fly even though he wanted to go abroad. It happened suddenly. Although he struggled a lot after that, he continued to pursue his dream of becoming an English teacher and is now teaching. That teacher is a wonderful teacher who is passionate about education and is currently reconsidering and reforming English education in Japan.

So I started study so hard. And finally I got a full scholarship in meds. But my parents cannot pay my living bills. So I have to work & study at the same time. This year is my last year in meds. Somehow, this song makes me emotional. I can really tell how much the lead singer expresses his emotions by the way how he moves in the videos. This is what songs should be like. Positivity and Hope. Seriously, every time I see this and the lyrics I always cry... This is a inspiring music. 😢😍❤❤❤

I love this song so much. It gives me so much confidence and it basically tells the story of my life (so far). I'm only 14 so there's not much life to talk about but in those 14 years, everything seems to have gone wrong. I've had family threatening to commit suicide, I've been in a major police case, I've been diagnosed with a life-changing medical conditions (yes, that's a plural), my parents have been through a divorce and I've been told countless times that I'm worthless and I'll always be worthless. I've always had an ambition to be a racing driver and I've constantly had people telling me that you need money to race, money that I don't have. But right now, I am incredibly close to actually achieving my dream job. AT AGE 14! I know that this sounds really cliche but the reason why I'm still fighting is because I know that God is with me. God is good, guys.

Superheroes The Script All the life she has seen All the meaner side of me They took away the prophet's dream For a profit on the street Now she’s stronger than you know A heart of steel starts to grow All his life he's been told He’ll be nothing when he’s old All the kicks and all the blows He won't ever let it show 'Cause he's stronger than you know A heart of steel starts to grow When you've been fighting for it all your life You've been struggling to make things right That’s how a superhero learns to fly Every day, every hour, turn the pain into power When you've fighting for it all your life You've been working every day and night That’s how a superhero learns to fly Every day, every hour, turn the pain into power Oh-oh, oh, oh Oh-oh, oh, oh All the hurt, all the lies All the tears that they cry When the moment is just right You see fire in their eyes 'Cause he’s stronger than you know A heart of steel starts to grow When you've been fighting for it all your life You've been struggling to make things right That’s how a superhero learns to fly Every day, every hour, turn the pain into power When you've fighting for it all your life You've been working every day and night That’s how a superhero learns to fly Every day, every hour, turn the pain into power (power, power, power, power, power) Every day, every hour turn the pain into power (Power, power, power, power) Every day, every hour turn the pain into power She's got lions in her heart A fire in her soul he's a got a beast In his belly that's so hard to control 'Cause they've taken too much hits, taking blow by blow Now light a match, stand back, watch them explode She's got lions in her heart A fire in her soul he's a got a beast In his belly that's so hard to control 'Cause they've taken too much hits, taking blow by blow Now light a match, stand back, watch them explode When you've been fighting for it all your life You've been struggling to make things right That’s a how a superhero learns to fly Every day, every hour, turn the pain into power When you've fighting for it all your life You've been working every day and night That’s a how a superhero learns to fly Every day, every hour, turn the pain into power (power, power, power, power, power) Oh, yes (power, power, power, power) Every day, every hour, turn the pain into power (Power, power, power, power) Ooh, yeah Whoa (power, power, power, power) Every day, every hour, turn the pain into power When you've been fighting for it all your life You've been struggling to make things right That’s how a superhero learns to fly

The scene of the guy walking to work on the highway nearly brought me to tears. 10 years ago I use to walk an hour and a half one way to work. Often for 3 hour shifts when weather was too shitty for a bike. I hated asking for rides but needed the money so I just did me. Now I have 3 kids with a forth on the way and a stay at home wife and a good paying job. You really can turn a situation that is miserable and scalp it into something beautiful. I haven't thought about that in such along time this song gets the feels going lol

Seeing this video that was shot in South Africa is so cool. And I'm fortunate to have seen them when they performed in South Africa for the first time in 2011. Still one of my favourite bands.

"Every day, every hour, turn the pain into power" I was thinking about this line and how meaningful it is, not only for me but for Danny himself. Years ago, and due to their previous albums with lyrics always referring to broken hearts, I used to think, "man, who hurt this man so bad?" But now I see you're doing the same thing Danny, turning pain into power, and I can see that in your latest works including this one, and I love it :)

Wow... You have a beautiful comment here. I hopeThe Script took a moment to read this and I think Danny would get very emotional.

This song really got me through some of the darkest days in life. During some of those time running 110 yard sprints was a peace for me. I would have this song repeat and would have tears as I’m running. When I hear this song now, I think of where I’m at now, how far I’ve come and I get still those same tears. Only now, they are tears of joy. The Script will always be cool with me for giving us this song. Thank you.

I love this song so much. This is my fight song. It gives me so much inspiration. I've been listening to it at least three times a week for almost a year. This song give the quote, " You're superhero flies, mine limps." A new meaning other than Newt is amazing: You're superhero might be Superman, or Batman, but my super hero is someone who has endured the worst of the worst. Life beats them to bloody pulp, but they still stand up and walk head high into a new day. With that new definition of a hero, four of my very best friends are my biggest super heros. If they can make it through today and to tomorrow, then so can I.
