Lyrics
(Oh if you could see me now)
(Oh if you could see me now)
It was February 14 Valentine's Day
The roses came but they took you away
Tattooed on my arm is a charm to disarm all the harm
Gotta keep myself calm but the truth is you're gone
And I'll never get to show you these songs
Dad you should see the tours that I'm on
I see you standing there next to Mom
Both singing along, yeah arm in arm
Now there are days when I'm losing my faith
Because the man wasn't good he was great
He'd say Music was the home for your pain
And explain I was young, he would say
Take that rage, put it on a page
Take the page to the stage
Blow the roof off the place
I'm trying to make you proud
Do everything you did
I hope you're up there with God saying That's my kid!
I still look for your face in the crowd
Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now)
Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow
Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now)"

Danny, Glen and Mark had said once in an interview, that they weren't going to release this, as of how much it meant to them, personally. The fans had requested it so much the put it on #3 album and it has now came to this point. I do agree with you, put they actually are fairly average with rating as they do EU/UK/USA/SA etc tours, so fairly a good population of the world know them. Just not played as often as the ariana grande/justin bieber etc

My mum saw me as an addict. If she could see me now. Clean for 7 yrs (Edit: Now 8 years!!) (Edit again: Now it's 9 years!! Can't believe I'm a year away from completing a decade) Thanks for the support everyone. You've truly touched my 💓) Edit once more: 10yrs has been reached! I'm so thankful for all of your comments and the love shown in these replies make it easier to look forward. I'm so humbled that thousands of people that don't know me have taken time to like or comment. Humanity can be awful at times (Such as what's happening in Ukraine right now) but when you see things like this, your faith is restored. Thanks everyone! Here's to another 10! P.s. If anyone is struggling and needs someone to listen without judgement, hit me up. I will always make time to help someone, even if it's just listening to someone venting. ❤️❤️

I haven't lost my parents but this song really hits me hard. I've taken them for granted, I'm lazy and slacks all the time. I realized that I'm wasting so much of my time on things that doesn't really matter. This song motivates me to work harder and reach my dreams faster so my parents would see and feel proud of how their daughter have become because of them. As of now, I'm still not sure of how I'm gonna do that but one thing is I'm sure of I'll become successful no matter what. I'll keep trying so I won't regret in the future.

I can't say that they've helped me get through the times, but they're definitely helpin. I think what it is, is that they make people going through a hard time (like me) relive that they aren't alone. People might say, "You're not alone. We're here for you. I'll always be a shoulder to cry on. You can count on me." When in reality, the people who need help are going, " Really? Where were you last week when I cried myself to sleep every night. Where were you when I took a razor to my wrist two nights ago. Where were you when I tried to finally end the pain if always being alone. You weren't there. You were off with you're boyfriend. When I said I needed to talk, you pushed me away and said your crush's basketball game was more important. Well, I guess being with your crush is more important than my survival." That's when Script comes in. They show people like me that even when your friend doesn't give a damn about you, which is almost all the time, there are still people out battling the same thing you are and can all make it through together. This is my second favorite song of theirs. My first is Superheros. That will never change.

I'm adopted, my parents didn't want an ill baby so they left me at an orphanage in Pakistan, the mom I have who adopted me is my superhero. I had jaundice, when your cells don't work properly you can die from it, and she stayed at the hospital with me for a week, day and night tears and sadness. One day she was able to take me home. I'm now 13 and I'm so grateful. The thing about this song is that it makes me feel sad because I just wanna see my biological parents and make them proud. Show them that they shouldn't have given up on me. It hurts to know someone who I was supposed to love gave up on me me,but I love my mom who adopted me so much. She means the world to me. They say superheroes aren't real, but my mom is one ❤️ I would give anything in the world to see my biological parents' faces, just once, show them who I've become

She is the person you should be thinking off. I suggest not even to give a thought to your biological parents, not a single thought.

Oh, if you could see me now Oh, if you could see me now It was February 14, Valentine's Day The roses came, but they took you away Tattooed on my arm is a charm to disarm all the harm Gotta keep myself calm but the truth is you're gone And I'll never get to show you these songs Dad, you should see the tours that I'm on I see you standing there next to Mom Both singing along, yeah, arm in arm And there are days when I'm losing my faith Because the man wasn't good, he was great He'd say music was the home for your pain And explain, I was young, he would say "Take that rage, put it on a page Take the page to the stage Blow the roof off the place" I'm tryna make you proud Do everything you did I hope you're up there with God Saying, "That's my kid" I still look for your face in the crowd Oh, if you could see me now (Oh, if you could see me now) Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow? Oh, if you could see me now (Oh, if you could see me now) Yeah (Oh, if you could see me now) Yeah If you could see me now, would you recognize me? Would you pat me on the back or would you criticize me? Would you follow every line on my tear-stained face? Put your hand on a heart that was cold as the day you were taken away? I know it's been a while but I could see you clear as day Right now, I wish I could hear you say "I drink too much and I smoke too much Dutch" But if you can't see me now that shit's a must You used to say I won't know a winner 'til it crossed me Like I won't know real love 'til I've loved then I've lost it So if you've lost a sister, someone's lost a mom And if you've lost a dad, then someone's lost a son And they're all missing now, and they're all missing now So if you get a second to look down at me now Mom, dad, I'm just missing you now I still look for your face in the crowd Oh, if you could see me now (Oh, if you could see me now) If you could see me now Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow? Oh, if you could see me now (Oh, if you could see me now) Ooh, would you call me a saint or a sinner? Would you love me a loser or a winner? (Oh, oh) When I see my face in the mirror We look so alike that it makes me shiver I still look for your face in the crowd Oh, if you could see me now (Oh, if you could see me now) Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow? Oh, if you could see me now (Oh, if you could see me now) (Yo, I'm just missing you now) I still look for your face in the crowd Oh, if you could see me now (Oh, if you could see me now) Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow? That hits home. My dad just finished helping me apply to Harvard and Princeton on January first at 11:40pm (19 minutes before their deadlines.) I would never have had a shot at them if it wasn't for my dad's presence in my life and the fact that he worked his ass off as a dirt poor kid to go to Harvard himself to one day raise the best possible kids. I only started taking life seriously in my senior year, and actually started listening to what he was saying about work and responsibility. The only reason I stopped taking him and his encouragement for me to work hard for granted is because he got diagnosed with and cured of a terminal cancer that would have killed him if we hadn't caught it on time. The only reason we caught it is because he happened to make friends with the few good people at Harvard one of whom went to the medical school and happened to notice the slight symptoms. Life is so unfair. I get a shot at greatness (getting into a good school) because dumb luck while I could have so easily have kept taking things for granted or lost my father before I'd actually built character. I don't know if this is the right place or not, but you're at the very least lucky that you learned character from him before he passed. If you had been like me, things would have been so much worse. You may not know how much someone's character can grow in one year when they listen to their father, but when I look back on how much he helped me change through senior year, I can't believe how close to losing him I was. Good luck in university or trade school. Success is so much up to dumb luck that, as far as I can tell, the most (if not only) reasonable thing a father can be proud of is the character of the children. Character is the one thing that you don't get by being lucky. Therefore, if you maintain a strong character, your dad from heaven will be more proud of you than if you were Jeff Bezos. (He probably already is) Thank you for leaving this comment and I hope things do go well for you.

I love this song... i cry when i hear it i think of my friends sometime or if i ever lost my dad or mom or brothers i would never stop crying i would never let it go i would never forgive my self for not being there for them.... Also when i hear the song i think of how lucky i am to still have my mom and dad and never had to have my father or mother siblings and/or friends die. i think of how lucky i am. i couldn't imagine a world without em' there apart of my world my life and i cant afford to loose them. i would be devistated.

"the script" changed my life a lot and I really appreciate all those moments you share with your fans around the world and as the song says " the energy never dies". Your energy , your passion of music and your contribution in the band will stay on my mind and my heart forever. thanks a lot Mark for all those beautiful videos , concerts and lyrics of each song. I always wanted that you could visit to my country and knowing all the culture over there but sadly that desire wont never come true. REST IN PEACE MARK AND I WONT NEVER FORGET YOU. My Uncle was diagnosed with a disease that broke him. He essentially committed suicide - we found out he had stopped taking all his medication. At his funeral, soo many people he had helped out during his lifetime - including a man who could not use his legs (who he took in when the man's family would not care for him), came to pay their respects. We all became better, became More because of him. And God I miss him so much, I wish he could've seen how much of an impact he had on all of us.

Thank you for having hopes of achieving something great someday! Even if I don't know many of you, I will have faith that you will achieve something great, no matter how much you sacrificed.. It was February 14 Valentine's Day The roses came but they took you away Tattooed on my arm is a charm to disarm all the harm Gotta keep myself calm but the truth is you're gone And I'll never get to show you these songs Dad you should see the tours that I'm on I see you standing there next to Mom Both singing along, yeah arm in arm Now there are days when I'm losing my faith Because the man wasn't good he was great He'd say "Music was the home for your pain" And explain I was young, he would say, "Take that rage, put it on a page. Take the page to the stage. Blow the roof off the place." I'm trying to make you proud Do everything you did I hope you're up there with God saying, "That's my kid!" [Chorus:] I still look for your face in the crowd Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow? Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) (Oh if you could see me now) If you could see me now would you recognize me? Would you pat me on the back or would you criticize me? Would you follow every line on my tear-stained face Put your hand on a heart that was cold As the day you were taken away? I know it's been a while but I can see you clear as day Right now, I wish I could hear you say I drink too much, and I smoke too much dutch But if you can't see me now that shit's a must You used to say I won't know a win until it cost me Like I won't know real love 'til I've loved and I've lost it So if you've lost a sister, someone's lost a mom And if you've lost a dad then someone's lost a son And they're all missing out, yeah they're all missing out So if you get a second to look down on me now Mom, Dad I'm just missing you now I still look for your face in the crowd Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow? Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) Oh, oh Would you call me a saint or a sinner? Would you love me a loser or winner? Oh, oh When I see my face in the mirror We look so alike that it makes me shiver I still look for your face in the crowd Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow? Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) Yeah I'm just missing you now I still look for your face in the crowd Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow? Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) You could see, you could see me now [2x] Thank you for reading. I record covers from different popular songs. I fought with my dad a few weeks ago. It was just for a silly reason. It was completely my arrogance. I didn't talk to him a weeks. I only found this band a couple of days ago. And they are great! After hearing this song and reading all those comments about people losing their loved ones, I realised how lucky I am to have both my parents with me! I quickly talked to my dad, apologized for being stupid. I know he isn't the best dad in the world, but even parents make mistakes I think. Even if they do, there's no reason to hate, you're here is because of them. I guess it's true what they say, you only know the value of something if you lose it. I'm sorry for all those who lost their loved ones. I hope they rest in peace! ♥️ Hope you're all well.

Mark's definitely a legend. The emotion and meaning he put into this song got me through several nights back in the 2010s. Those were the good old days when I and my mates just do wild stuff around and hope that we can quickly go to the next stage in life. Life passed too quickly and when I heard Mark passed away, I went back to this song and all the trip down memory lane just happened. I remembered some people that I lost on the journey. Yesterday, I lost one of my favourite teachers who actually cared about her student which is definitely rare in my journey. You can just feel in the eye that connection when someone just cares about you. When I graduated, I moved overseas and when I came back 4 years ago, I contemplated whether I should visit my old school or not. This goes on for 3 years and now I totally missed the chance to meet her for one last time. I remember the time when I jokingly teased her in front of the whole classroom and she grabbed me by my neck and scold me in front of the class (was not a bright student at the time). But she definitely played a role in my life and shaped me into the man I am today. Man, I really miss those old times and this song hits differently now, the lyric just seeped into my skin. Hope all of the lost ones are proud of who we are now! May we meet them again.

Lyrics It was February 14, Valentine's Day The roses came but they took you away Tattooed on my arm is a charm to disarm all the harm Gotta keep myself calm but the truth is you're gone And I'll never get to show you these songs Dad, you should see the tours that I'm on I see you standing there next to Mom Both singing along, yeah on and on And there are days when I'm losing my faith Because the man wasn't good, he was great He'd say "Music was the home for your pain" And explained I was young, he would say Take that rage, put it on a page Take that page to the stage Blow the roof off the place I'm trying to make you proud Do everything you did I hope you're up there with God saying "That's my kid!" I still look for your face in the crowd Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow? Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) If you could see me now would you recognize me? Would you pat me on the back or would you criticize me? Would you follow every line on my tear-stained face? Put your hand on my heart that was cold As the day you were taken away I know it's been a while but I can see you clear as day Right now, I wish I could hear you say I drink too much, and I smoke too much dutch But if you can't see me now, that shit's a must You used to say I won't know a wind until it crossed me Like I won't know real love 'til I've loved and I've lost it So if you lost a sister, someone's lost a mom And if you lost a dad then someone's lost a son And they're all missing out, yeah they're all missing out So if you get a second to look down on me now Mom, Dad I'm just missing you now I still look for your face in the crowd Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) Oh, oh Would you call me a saint or a sinner? Would you love me a loser or winner? Oh, oh When I see my face in the mirror We look so alike that it makes me shiver I still look for your face in the crowd Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) Yeah I'm just missing you now I still look for your face in the crowd Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) Would you stand in disgrace or take a bow Oh if you could see me now (Oh if you could see me now) You could see, you could see me now You could see, you could see me now

@shaheenbeeharry9710

Thank you for your question :) What I meant to say is that no matter how old we are losing our loved ones is hard. For example, my mother is turning 60 next year and my maternal gran turned 80 this year. My maternal gran had a stroke and has been in hospital since July 2014. I've been the one to hold my mum's hand, to hug her and hold her every time she sees her mum and has tears in her eyes. My mum lost her father in her early twenties and still misses him every day. Hence, we are never too old to lose our parents. I turned 22 today and I can't imagine not having my parents, but I have close friends who have already lost one or even both parents at such a young age. It's an inevitable reality, and while it's much more difficult at young age, it doesn't mean it's not still hard when we're older.

Callum I'm sorry to hear that, I really am. I guess that's one way of looking at it too. Not to be insensitive or to pry, but doesn't a part of you wish you had gotten the chance to know him maybe?

+Shaheen Beeharry Thank you for saying that. that is something people need to start appreciating, I lost my mum this year, she was 60 but I had just turned 20, three months before. All I wanted was for people to admit that they couldnt understand and that I was too young to be without a mum but instead all I got when I did voice my feelings where 'some people don't ever have their mum' or 'lots of people lose their mum young' or 'be grateful for the time you did have with her' and it was infuriating because everyone who said this crap still had both parents. Your never old enough to lose a parent, ever. But what makes it harder is people trying to simplify or compare your pain because they think it helps or because they simply cant fathom the pain your going through. I remember thinking, when did 20 become old enough that people think I'm adult enough to be without a mum? I haven't owned a house, had a baby, married, traveled and a bunch of other things that a lot of other people with have their mums guidance with, hell, in america I'm not even legal to drink yet. Lesson: All ways listen without judgement and never compare situations
