Great teaching Mr. Cloud and thank you. I live in Maggie Valley Nc and this is my fourth hurricane that has flooded my hometown of Canton NC. Frances, Ivan, Fred, and now Helene. I am one of the very few who knew this could and would happen. I researched all the major floods that happened on the Pigeon river in Canton Nc and all of the dates I looked up the major flooding was caused by hurricanes and tropical storms.

You might also remember the unleashing of many tornadoes in April and May of this year in the midsection of the country-a much busier season than normal. Ironically, my cousin moved from the Santa Clara area of California to escape the almost-yearly fires that rage there. Where did she and her husband move---near Asheville, NC for the reason you stated.
