I absolutely loved this as a kid and again into my teen years. That opening music takes me back to being about 7! Do you have the valley of adventure? Is this the same thing?

Great to know other people loved this as much as I did! Sadly this is the only one of this series I have. I do have the Treasure Island story on tape, although it is not a dramatisation. I will keep a look out in case I find any more crop up for sale.

They show up from time to time on eBay. The series was by originally by Rainbow, but it was rereleased in the early '90s by Tempo. So tapes marked either of those will be the same. The Hodder ones on CDs are different, and there are also unabridged readings of all. As well as these 2 adventure series, Rainbow did 2 Famous five, 2 Secret seven, and 2 Malory towers. I loved the Rainbow dramatized ones - and my kids do as well. Just the right length and tension. I do have the Valley on tape and could record and upload if you're interested. I'm still hunting for the secret seven ones from my childhood.

That's interesting about the Tempo tapes, I didn't realise they were re-releases! I'd love to hear Valley if you get a chance to upload it. I managed to find Fantastic Mr Fox this week, which is another one I had as a child and lost a few years ago. Both Edward Phillips and Edward Kelsey are in it, and I only just noticed that Edward Phillips plays Horrace in the Sea of Adventure! The Rainbow tapes are just brilliant!
