unbelievable ... this is the best album I've heard in the last 10 years .... well written, well played and, damn, that singer is amazing, why the fuck didn't I know him before? The song "denise" simply made me cry the first time I heard it, a lyrics so direct and sincere but so real it almost hurts

@@bestestinventions7032 In my opinion, the best out of all the drummers who auditioned (all are very good, especially Thomas Lang)....I think he could have gotten the gig if he really wanted it, but I don't think he did.

@@r.a.fiallos234 yes i heard the same, that he was the one that Dream Theater wanted the most, but he didn't want it, so they went with Mike Mangini (i haven't confirmed if it's true but i heard it so many times)

Bestest Inventions yes, I think Marco confirmed it at a clinic in Italy. Mangini is a great drummer, but he would have been maybe my 4th choice out of the auditioning drummers (just judging by the audition video)

AlexisGitarre As far as I heard, before this Loreley concert, was, that Daniel Gildenlöw and Jonas Reingold just had overlapping times with other bands (can’t tell which). I was very disappointed at first, because I like both, but Daniel is outstanding! But Casey McPherson (Flying Colors) did a great job and Pete Trewavas (Marillion, Transatlantic), what a great bass player! Just joined the band and he really nailed it, as ever! Don’t know how the band will go on further. If somebody would ask me (but nobody is doing so 🙈), any of above mentioned names in any combination with the guys playing in that concert, would be fitting perfect into the sea of ProgRock music within that band. Sorry 😀 ProgRock on - well done 👍

Timo Laaksosaari Thanks! Well, both sides are there. The first track I didn’t put into the video (which isn‘t lame), due to soundcheck reasons, very often at the beginning of concerts at festivals. And Daniel Gildenlöw and Jonas Reingold, well, they didn’t showed up - therefore a (one and only?) group constellation. For the first time very good to my mind. Take only the drums - lame? As good Prog one has to listen more often, than it’s getting even better. Best whishes, BR

OK. Have to admit that I tend to favor RIO, avant garde and a bit more dynamic stuff over neo prog's watered down genesism and pink floydism even if I do listen and like the forefigures. So restless beats calm. As an example, the latest great is Rob Scallon's "Djazz".

I can't figure out what Roine or Neal Morse see in Casey M. as a singer or front man for Sea Within or Flying Colors. Neither band needs him.

Chuck, I totally disagree. Casey is a superb vocalist. If he weren't, he wouldn't be in those bands with such stellar players surrounding him.

Sorry. I don'l like the voice of Casey McPherson at all. For me he sounds like a cat in heat. This band has no soul and no spirit. Great individuals is no guarantee for a great band.
