Joseph Smith had a revelation while blessing a baby and he said the brother of Jared's name was Mahonri Moriancumer. This is noted on the Church website under the Brother of Jared. Thanks for this lesson - something to look forward to!! 🎉

This was my great x?? Grandpa. Yes he was give the name Mahonri in a blessing from Joseph and then Joseph said that this is the name of the brother of Jared.

When I was 11yr.old my family lived in the Shreveport, LA. Stake,USA. The first name of the State Patriarch was Mahonri-Moriancmr. I don’t remember his last name. I’ve never heard of someone named that again. Interesting, huh? 😊😊

@@brysonperry499actually that name I heard was suggested to him to name his baby . Yes that is the brother of Jared’s name . It is also a city in the Book of Mormon . So mark the scripture when you see it. Most prophets in the Book of Mormon have a city named for them .

Elder George Reynolds (1842-1909) of the Seventy related the following account, which indicates that the brother of Jared’s name (see Ether 2:13) was revealed to the Prophet Joseph Smith (1805-44): “While residing in Kirtland Elder Reynolds Cahoon had a son born to him. One day when President Joseph Smith was passing his door he called the Prophet in and asked him to bless and name the baby. Joseph did so and gave the boy the name of Mahonri Moriancumer. When he had finished the blessing he laid the child on the bed, and turning to Elder Cahoon he said, the name I have given your son is the name of the brother of Jared; the Lord has just shown [or revealed] it to me. Elder William F. Cahoon, who was standing near heard the Prophet make this statement to his father; and this was the first time the name of the brother of Jared was known in the Church in this dispensation” (“The Jaredites,” Juvenile Instructor, May 1, 1892, 282).

Our regular temple is closed for the summer due to a roof replacement. I was at the Meridian temple this morning and when I came out had been thinking "man I wish I could see something cool" and then I saw a large Osprey bird (looks a bit like an Eagle, hawk or something) on the mid section of Moroni's trumpet. I felt something but I wasn't quite sure what it was but very cool

Good brother, what an amazing sight. I love Osprey, they are my favorite bird of prey, and they are very unique because they are the only kind of their species. I had a similar experience when visiting the Phoenix Arizona temple. As we entered the temple grounds, we quickly realized a new species of hummingbird we haven't seen before. Then, as we gazed up at the steeple, we could see a large Redtail Hawk perched by angel Moroni.

I was studying this and Noah yesterday when I went outside to pray about some thoughts when a friend called me. I was looking at the 8 High Priests at Adam-Ondi-Ahman, the 8 on the Ark, the 8 vessels of the Jaredites. Then of the “confounding of languages” and I was thinking of Native American “hand language” and the connection there with the Hand of the Lord, and the Temple. The cuneiform script we have in America goes back to Ur 3 period, and the building of the great Ziggurat. I am half way done with that presentation.

The number 8 represents a new beginning, thus baptism at the age of 8, and the end of the millennium being the new beginning of the Earth and all its inhabitant who are celestialized and dwell upon it as a sea of glass in their immortal and eternal state.

Actually, according to Don Bradley (Lost 116 Pages author), we have a whole lot less than 1/3 of the translated BoM. He figures that we actually only 1/2 of what was actually translated. What we currently have is the rest of the original translation of the abridgement (Mosiah to Moroni), then what he translated from the Small Plates of Nephi (Nephi-Omni). The 116 lost pages were in reference to the new translated pages that replaced the lost pages. The lost pages would have equaled about to the number of pages that Mosiah-Moroni encompassed, as those books covered about the same amount of time in years as Nephi to the end of Mosiah I's reign. This is currently 140 of 535 pages, which leaves about 400 pages for Mosiah to Moroni. Thus, the fully translated original BoM if it included the lost pages would have been about 800 pages. In which case, the Full BoM including the sealed part would be about 2400 pages. WE can't get the sealed protion until after the second coming, because it has the vision of all things from the beginning to the end, and we can't see it until at least Jesus returns, possibly not util the very end and the Celestialization of the Earth occurs. Then we also need the complete record of the Bro. of Jared (in the sealed portion). Did Hagoth keep a record? Plus if one guy ventured out from the main body of Nephites, did any others, and did they keep a record? What about all the records that were in the records repository that Brogham etc. saw? Stacks of plates! Then there is the records of all the Lost Tribes, who likely spread all over the world (Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia, other Isles of the Sea), and not to mention full records of Adam, Enoch, Melchizedek, and Noah, and the unaltered records of Moses, Abraham, Issac, Jacob, and Jospeh, The Brass Plates, writings of the original Apostles, and all the books mentioned in the Bible (OT and NT) that we also don't have. I look forward to new records coming forth, and PRes. Holland seems to have hinted at during his personal study FB post a few months ago. Thousands of records of Christ's dealings with his people. It'll take a 1000 years just to get through them all.

I love that Ether 4:4 that you read can be equated to what Pres. Nelson said: “But, my dear brothers and sisters, so many wonderful things are ahead. In coming days, we will see the greatest manifestations of the Savior’s power that the world has ever seen” (Pres. Russell M. Nelson “Overcome the World and Find Rest”, Oct 2022 General Conference). The additional scripture from sealed portion of the Book of Mormon would be quite a great manifestation…so looking forward to that!

There are many book like “The Language of Adam” (the temple) and further ancient records coming forth that I believe it is preparation for our understanding and receiving of true pure records to come forth and be translated. Like a test of discernment and recognition of the Lord’s influence on other peoples though through their world view and cultural lens, that our understanding is primed.

What book do you think has the language of Adam . Are you thinking about some guy can’t think of his name . John someone ??? Seems he says he wrote a book the language of Adam . I’m very doubtful if he has an authority to write that at all. I’m wondering if the church even approved his book . He does teach some false things along with some good things .

@@lindamartinez7006 many book published even at Deseret Book are not all true doctrine, nor is every textbook and form of education we receive the full authoritative word from God, but we receive step by step, and receive further light and knowledge as we prepare ourselves to receive it. Which means study from the best books, study it out in our mind and take it to the Lord, cross reference with what has been established by church authority by common consent, because if the brethren are not unified in revelation, it will not be presented to the church. The language of Adam book does not contradict doctrine but it prepares the mind. Much of what we have in scripture has been sifted by scholars and historians under the administration of church authorities, and as President Nelson says, good revelation comes from good information. Revelation has always come by inquiry, we should not shelter ourselves and wait, rather waiting upon the Lord means being earnestly engaged in good causes of our own free will and choice, preparing in prayer, practice and study. The Lord responds to petitions in his Son’s name and does not send revelation to those waiting in isolation and echo chambers. I learned this from my direct inquiry to an apostle to which he instructed on the principles of revelation to His prophets and His church. It seems that we have transitioned from training wheels and being commanded in all things to go and do, seek and knock, and little by little our hearts and minds are prepared for further light and knowledge as we stay confident in our covenants and with Christ.

I guess this may happen when people start studying what they have. Nibley, and later Porter, had some very interesting things to say about the Egyptians. Ham did have the priesthood and endowment. He lost the privilege to pass his authority down but he apparently did teach the endowment, which by the time the 'academic priests' left a record that we could find was muddled with strange gods. There never was a dispensation that the Lord did not want to bless his children. Sadly, there never was a dispensation where his children preferred to listen to the paid clergy that taught pride.

Ether 1: 2-4 says that someday the 24 plates of The Book of Ether (which Moroni copied a portion of in the BoM) will be found, and that the person who finds them will have power to translate them. This isn't referring to the sealed portion of the BoM, but the actual record from the beginning of the world to the end of the Jaredites. I think that's going to be awesome! Could there be another translating prophet to come? Could it be that an academic will find the plates? Personally, I think Joseph Smith probably translated them before he died and the First Presidency and the Twelve have had them this whole time.

I had figured the blowing of these trumps would be the same as Adam-Ondi-Ahman when all is accounted for, but I could be wrong. It is curious that later it states Adam/Michael is the 7th yet the 1st Angel reveals what occurred in the 1st thousand years, so I wonder if the order of those angels are the heads of dispensations backwards? Or the 1st as last and the last 1st also apply here?

FYI. According to the book by Brother Allen, who hand crafted the windows in the new Nauvoo temple, called Out of Captivity, Henry Dunstan foresaw the coming of the book of Mormon. Henry was first president of Harvard and created the logo with 3 books

In the Church's casting calls for the brother of Jared, they were looking for someone of Asian descent. I don't take this as confirmation of lineage or anything like that, but it's interesting. I could see the reason for that being to show they came from a different ancestry than the Nephites did.

He is probably talking about the Lord’s second coming to the people of Adam ondi ahman which deals with the purification of the saints. Adam ondi ahman ends the persecution of the saints by the Latter Day horn, dan 7:21-22. So our “tribulation “ cleanses the church

I’ve been on family search and I look at birth and death records and the handwriting is so bad they might as well be sealed. I’m guessing nobody back when they were filling out marriage, birth, and death records. Thought it would be a good idea to write neatly and carefully so that somebody else could read it. What good is if you write it if nobody can read, it shouldn’t have to have a thumb to be able to translate birth records.

The other day he made a video about current native American second coming sign of a white buffalo being born. If he can cover that, he could at least look at what Chief Midega and others are saying in these latter-days, not necessarily to showcase that it is doctrine or an exact sign but to add to the timeline of things happening, just like current events with the war in Israel. He could at least explain why he has been avoiding certain topics. I want to hear it from the man himself.

The U&T that TBOJ received from Jehovah was to '"stay" with "The Vision".....that script was in Adamic Language....for the Jaredite language was never confounded.......hense Jehovah said the Jaredite script would not be known and the need for the U&T. The last wicked Jaredite stayed with the Mulikites for nine months and was buried by them as Prophesied by Ether......whom but the way, was the last righteous Jaredite..... whom could have given both to Mosiah as the both had to remain togather and magically Mosiah had the U&T to translate the 24 gold plates of Ether, also in Adamic script. Now Moroni added "The Vision" to the Record that he and his father abridged. Wither he copied it exactly in it's original Adamic Script, or in his Reformed Egyptian, he kept the U&T with them.....and these are the same Joseph received out of the box.....approx. a 4000 years old pair of Spectacles......for the Vision and this pair of U&T HAD to remain togather per Jehovah's edict. Now just as they were held in secret since Mosiah....and then reviled when Christ appeared to Lehi's descendants, as prophesied, AFTER their wicked government was cast down and AFTER those that were left were "more righteous than they"....a People Prepared.....then was the Vision revealed and then Golden Age of Lehi's descendants began.....I should expect then the same has to transpire in our day 😉

Jared thanks for your video, but your golden plates sources diagram does NOT illustrate that there were 2 sets of plates. The plates in the cement and stone box were the abridged plates and the sealed portion or the Harmony plates. After the title page was translated, Joseph gave the Harmony plates to the Heavenly messenger (older, shorter guy in the brown suit) that David Whitmer, Oliver and Joseph saw on their way to Fayette. The heavenly messenger turned down a ride because he was on his way to Cumorah to return the plates to a separate repository in the Hill Cumorah where all the plates the Mormon abridged were stored. He then picked up the small plates of Nephi (UNABRIDGED) and took those to Fayette where Mary Whitmer was shown the plates. Nephi through Words of Mormon were translated LAST. Mary always referred to him as brother Nephi, NOT Moroni like Saints Vol 1 incorrectly states. The Caractors document likely came from John Whitmer (temporary scribe) in Fayette in 1829. These caractors are not what Martin Harris took to Mitchell and Anthon because Joseph had copied some characters with the translation of each character during the winter of 1827-1828. That would be the document that Harris took to the learned men.

Mary whitmer never said brother Nephi showed her the plates . That is no correct . That is so made up . The story goes that her grand son claimed she said that which is a second hand account . Joseph Smith knew who the man was that turned down the ride that it was Moroni . And history of the Saints has it correct . Not you . Moroni is assigned to watch over America . He was with George Washington . He was actually on the ship with Christopher Columbus . Moroni dedicated the lands where the temples are built . This is Moroni assignment. Not Nephi . Try to stick to true stories and not second or third hand accounts . Like history of the saints . That book is correct .
