Probably strange to say this in the comments here, I just want to tell you how much your channels, videos and posts have helped me find peace and footing in this world. Where I am, our lockdowns have been among the longest out there, and we are still in the process of climbing out of them. Things became very, very empty for me about 1.5 years into isolation - until I started thinking about becoming more spiritual, but especially when I came across your videos. I watch a few every day (so lucky to have stumbled in so late in the game that there is a HUGE backlog to enjoy!!). Your knowledge / recipes / crafts and video style are so inspiring and give me hope that there is still brightness everywhere. Thank you. Thank you!!!

Here's an idea....look for land where you can drill a well for water and have solar panels for electricity, septic tank or self composting toilet. Then buy a yurt or even a double wide if you can swing it. Do your own research but depending on how much for the land and other particulars like how deep you have to go for water, this set-up can cost 100k or less. If you start with a yurt, you can always build something with lumber later when the cost goes down. Look all around WA, not just the western side, and maybe avoid places that are experiencing severe drought and very high temps right now. I'm no expert and have not done this myself (yet) but have researched alternatives to buying a prebuilt home and someone else's real estate investment that they're trying to maximize profit on. Other things to consider: internet can be gotten when you go into town and the nearest town should be a place you can find some community. Best of luck to you🍀

We’ve been in this exact same house-buying spot. I had the identical experience of looking forward to just SEEING a place only to have it swooped out from under us before we even got to go on the journey to check it out. It’s so ruthlessly cutthroat right now I got to feeling very discouraged. It all finally came together in our perfect spot, close to work but still tucked into some woods at the end of its own little lane! It will all come together. Enjoyed this video.going on the adventure of finding a new home is very exciting! About 8 years ago I went through this. Looked at a lot of places but was having little luck, some too big, some too small , poor locations etc, etc. finally my realtor came up with a place that had been on the market for a long time and had no offers. I was only looking at land and this place was 5 acres on a hillside completely surrounded by stone walls. Near a dirt road . I knew as soon as i saw it , this was the place! Built my small house completely by myself the way I wanted it to be. Today I have absolutely no regrets, keep up your adventures, ask yourself if this is a place you always want to return to , a place truly home.👍🤗🎩

A friend once told me to "try on your future like you try a pair of shoes" when making decisions. In other words she meant, "clearly see yourself in a situation you may potentially like to be in, visualize it and everything about it, and if it still doesn't feel right, don't do it. Likewise for the opposite." I have found in my own life that sometimes my logic isn't so logical at all and the best decisions I've made has been by intuition. ☺ Edit: it's freezing here in the southern hemisphere and I'd give anything for a heat wave lol. I know I'll regret wishing for that in summer..

Love your yearning for adventure and sharing it. You’re planting many seeds. :-) Years ago a friend from out of town was visiting and we went to visit a friend of his. As soon as I was on their property I fell head over heels in love with it, telling them if I ever had a house I wanted it to be just like theirs. Many years after when I was looking to buy and getting very discouraged with cost and not finding anything I loved, I stumbled upon a sweet old farmhouse for sale in the woods, called to make an appointment and was told an offer had just been made. Dejected. Weeks later out with my realtor to see multiple houses, we drove past my dream house and it was for sale! Of course I bought it and found out that the owners bought the house I had called about - they made the offer. I know I harvested the seeds I had planted so many years earlier. Still live in my dream house - it’s my anam cara.

The Virginia mountains are absolutely beautiful and it is much cheaper to live here. I am getting ready to change my home base as my husband passed away on June 7. I was married 35 years and my entire adult life was dependent on the influence of others (my children and husband) and now I am more free to decide what I want and what works for me even though I have an adult son and a 14 year old son living with me. They are pretty flexible. I look forward to my new adventure and I wholeheartedly believe God will lead me where I am supposed to land.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I have a friend whose husband was gravely ill and passed away while she was in her late fifties. At first she feared she would never marry again. A decade later she fears she will LOL. She loves her ability to decide what she wants. Not that she didn’t enjoy being married. Quite the contrary. But she trusts that God has her where she is for a purpose. To everything there is a season. Enjoy your season! Time and life are both a gift!

I was born and raised in Seattle...at age 35 I left to live on the Oregon Coast by the beach and dunes. 26 years here now but Washington is my home in my heart. I have days I miss the city and all the stores, lights, etc. And there is alot of the state I would love to explore....the heat wave is unusual. I feel for all of you that went through it....I will keep watching to see what you decide to do. It is expensive there now and taxes are high. I loved this vlog, and I have to say that my partner and I went through the same experience you did. We fell completely in love with a house last summer, realized it was just too competitive of a property for us to afford, and decided to pass...literally the next day, our dream home in our dream neighborhood fell into our laps (for much smaller of a cost and it had everything our first "dream house" lacked). Not sure if you're into numerology, but we both saw lots and lots of 144's and 1441's throughout our home buying process. Very excited for you!! You and your home will find each other soon.

I never comment on videos, and I know you might not see this. I am just resonating so much with what you are talking about in regards to finding your home, and where you want to live. Particularly to the PNW, I lived in Oregon for almost 10 years, from the midwest. Fell in love with every aspect of the PNW, as a person that is deeply connected to nature with my spiritually, it felt like home. However the cost of living is so high, I wanted to buy a place to call my own, I moved back to the midwest three years ago, and though I have found deep love for this area, I still miss my home in Oregon. Long story short, as a queer yogic witch, I am moving back to Oregon in October, my soul just belongs there. I don't regret my decisions, life is for exploring, learning and growing. I can relate so much. Just know, what ever decision you make, nothing is permanent, life is full of difficult decisions, and you'll find what works for you.

I firmly believe if a place keeps drawing you to it, it was meant to be and someone from your past was once there (sorry for sounding corny). I can't tell you how many of my ancestors came back to New England not knowing it is where their roots began and I have a lot of followers, from all over the country, who had a odd attachment to New England, only to find out their ancestors also started in New England. Let your soul and intuition guide you to your path and the rest will fall into place. I don't think you are being impulsive, I think you are unknowingly following your intuition. I've been following you for a long time, I'm surprised to see I was not subscribed to this channel and just did. I must be to your other channel (my daughter and I follow the same practices in so many ways) . Good luck with your search. We are also hunting and losing out on properties we look at.

I would highly recommend visiting Alaska while you're over in WA. I love Fairbanks & Anchorage areas. The entire state is breath taking, wild, free, untouched, and much cooler than the rest of America. ;)

I was born and raised in Seattle. I’m in the desert now,, but if I was up there I’d look into the islands…Vashon etc or up north in the San Juan’s. Did you ever watch Practical Magic…my favorite movie? That was filmed up in the islands…that would be my dream place up there, but I’m sure it’s crazy expensive on the islands. I probably could not afford it , but maybe there are rentals? We are having major heat here in Tucson, but I knows it’s really hot up there now! Growing up there if it hit 90 it was hot! Crazy climate change now. Almost all my friends have bailed out of Seattle because of the cost. I still have some friends left there but no family left up there. Good luck in your search!

If you don’t find yourself in Washington, maybe try Michigan? We experience every season. We have two peninsulas that are surrounded by some of the largest lakes on Earth, raised by 315 mountains, have endless forests, meadows, fields, rivers, streams, waterfalls and many different rocks, gems, crystals and minerals. Don’t even get me started on the plant and animal life! It’s quite magical. 💖 whenever I think about moving somewhere else … I just can’t. Oh and if you stay in the lower peninsula … you can use your hand as a map 😋

My son is going through the same restlessness. He won’t come home to VA for more than visit but isn’t happy where he lives now. I have the same restlessness but am bound for now because of an elderly parent. One day…..until then we travel and check out areas we might like to at least get them crossed off the list. We both want rural but with some convenience and limited narrow mindedness if that’s even possible. Good luck on your journey. At least for now, you have that beautiful area to enjoy even if “home” isn’t perfect. 💗💗

That was a beautiful video! The heat must be hard to deal with, I hope Hazel is managing ok. House hunting is fun, enjoy the journey and take your time having more adventures. I wouldn't like to be in a city for too long, I'd miss forests and the natural landscape too much. I hope it cools down a bit soon!
