The search for Catharsis in Action Games

i definitely have to check out hifi rush and no straight roads, and action games are osme of my favorite games they're so much fun, so thank you for the great review! good video as always :D

I'm really bad at video games, as much as I love them, and one thing I find really funny is I play every single game like a glass cannon. I do not have the skills to pull it off, like at all. Gauntlets, School of the Cat, doesn't matter what game it is, I end up as the low health, speedy spam clicker, and I die over and over. But throwing myself at enemies with little to no regard for my poor character's health is my favourite part of any video game combat. Every time I play Hades, I end up neglecting my Cast and forgetting at least one other attack option, because I can't possibly focus on all those buttons and skills, haha. I spam dodge, attack, and if I'm lucky I remember to throw in a special, whilst flying into every single trap at least twice. 9 times out of 10 I die when the boss is a couple hits away. 10/10 experience, I am off to go do it again, because learning is for people who like coherent thinking. I really enjoy these video essays that you make btw, and your voice feels made for this kind of thing :)
