Great review, it’s a wheel that I have been looking at for a while, just wish they could have done something to hide the exposed components for the dual clutches.

The funky switch placement and size is a dealbreaker for me. I would prefer to pay a tiny bit more and get the GSI Hyper p1. Great review though.

Could you expound a little bit on the the buttons? I don’t quite understand how the illuminated buttons are different to the Porsche ones? Can you control their color like on the grid wheels?

No colour can’t be controlled on this version I have they are just white but there is a customizable color option when you purchase the wheel for 25 pounds extra.

I don’t think having to remove your hand from the grip to operate the funky switch is that much of an issue. If you have a 7 way switch I don’t see how you can rotate it without gripping it between two fingers and that requires taking one hand off the grips. I’ve mapped most of the black box functions in iRacing to a stream deck so most times I just need to cycle between pages. Is there such an organisation as “Sim Racing Wheel Buyers Anonymous”? I may need to sign up.

@@andresinger7022 In my opinion, the VPG has some standout features. The grips on the VPG are definitely comfier, although comfort can be a personal thing. Plus, the buttons and labels on the VPG give it a more premium vibe, which is a nice touch. Both wheels have great paddle shifters, with the LMPH feeling a tad snappier, but it's a close call. Another thing I liked about the VPG is the placement of the middle thumb encoders; they're easier to use. And yes that 5" screen on the LMPH is a real improvement. My only gripe with the VPG was wishing for a bigger screen; that would have sealed the deal. Honestly, you can't really go wrong with either wheel-they both perform well and have their strengths. But personally, I found the VPG more comfortable and enjoyable to drive with. If it were my money, I'd lean toward the VPG. Hope this helps you make a choice!

There's a guy who has directly compared the two and he preferred the V-RSPG Pro due the comfort of the grips. Apparently for him the Omega Pro was uncomfortable over any long stints because the grip stops too soon and his thumb rubs against the frame even with gloves.
