Amidst that perfect storm, Jerry was able to manage at a championship level, and then, only briefly. Since then, he has hovered between shitty and slightly above average. Add to this how far along Jerry is into his sunset years. He's not going to get better. He's going to get worse. The high points of the Dak years and the Tony years are the best you're going to get from a Jerry-managed team. I had been a fan since '71. Finally gave up after last season's playoff humiliation. Sundays in the fall in Texas are great. Lots of better things to do than to sit around watching Jerry botch another season. I miss tuning into Mark though. I would be happy for him if things were, by some miracle, to turn around. I won't hold my breath.

The good news is, we found out that Trey Lance isn't nearly as bad as we thought. Deuce Vaughn is actually a pretty good RB. Hunter Luepke can be a viable short yardage back. While I agree we need a more flashy receiver, Tolbert did very well as a backup(4 Receptions, 98 yards). KaVontae Turpin is speed and also a viable back/receiver/return man. Our OL only gave up two sacks(sweet). And Brandon Aubrey is a BEAST. Things are looking up with a few choice draft picks. BTW, Jerry stated full well what he was "all in" on. The rookies.
