@tvu867 жыл бұрын
lmao i have no idea about drumming but your comment cracks me up for some reason - "ROBUST" drumming?!?!?! HAHA
@colegamba30967 жыл бұрын
tvu86 It means that the drumming is very easily heard, pronounced, and defined. It is the opposite of weak drumming, with whenever a drum is hit, barely any sound and vibration is made, and the stick bounces like when you drop a bouncy ball it bounces several times, but they're very weak, as opposed to throwing it at the ground, which gives several powerful bounces(before becoming weaker).

Y'know, I ended up here after looking for a bunch of different marching bands and jazz ensembles that covered Tank! There are a lot... and none of them - not a single one - holds a candle to The Seatbelts. That's not a knock against their musicianship or abilities, but the main thing that separates all of them from The Seatbelts is passion. Not a single group sounded like they gave a shit or that they were allowed to give a shit. They were hitting the notes just fine... playing the piece as written... but there was never any riffing or improvisation. Either they had over-practiced or were just too controlled... it didn't seem like anyone playing was allowed to have _fun_ with the music. And that's just depressing. Tank! is the kind of song that you can't help but jump on your chair and get hyped over! You can't play that sitting in rows of folding chairs in a tuxedo. That's not even how jazz is supposed to be played at all. You've gotta throw yourself into it and let your heart play through your instrument.
@elizabethainsworth11386 жыл бұрын
