In celebration of a new gallery on the history of the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s Regional Offices, the SEC Historical Society hosted a special program on the evolution of the San Francisco Regional Office.
The office has jurisdiction over Northern California, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho and has been involved in some of the most high-profile SEC investigations of Silicon Valley companies.
The conversation included the current and five former regional directors of the office, whose leadership of the San Francisco Regional Office spans the last 30 years. They discussed a range of topics that have impacted and defined the office over time.
