Interesting that she says Taylor would leave the room, when it fact when Taylor tried to interact with the girls, they would leave. They also said extremely harsh things about her. If they need their memories refreshed it's on the feeds. Alyssa even called Taylor a roach. She said it in front or Jasmine, and Jasmine said nothing. Paloma started the entire cycle and the other girls followed. Also Jasmine lied from the beginning and said when Taylor entered the backyard she did not speak to them, when in fact she certainly did. Those chicks were threatened by Taylor's grace, poise and beauty. Totally disappointing.

Great conversation by all. Thank you Hannah for stating that Black people have to be careful about congregating because "others" can be threatened by that. It is a shame since anyone with any similarity should be FREE to congregate without worry about perceptions and the subsequent repercussions that may result from that perception. This is a burden that other races do not have and is unique to Black people.

Going off of what you said, then would it also be acceptable for white people in the house to join in an alliance based solely on their own race? I’m not saying I advocate for that, I am actually strongly against it. I am just curious if everyone gets to share the same rules or if we are to allow special treatment to one group solely based on the color of their skin, by your standards.
@LonnLe
@LonnLe 2 жыл бұрын
@@stinkynacho2362 i think what you're missing the point of what the original comment might be trying too say? they are saying that people should be able to congregate on the basis of things that are outside of RACE entirely meaning for example just purely sharing any mutual interest or having game strategy. But what the op is saying is that even if two black people are congregating in the BB house because they have a mutual interest ( i.e they both like sports or pokemon , or they have game strategy ) the rest of the house guest will assume they congregated based on being BLACK. meanwhile white people in the house can associate, form alliances, and have showmances without the assumption, presumption, or speculation that is BECAUSE they are white , quite freely and have often done so. That is what the original comment is trying to say. hope that clarification helps ! And I think to answer your curiosity you can watch big brother seasons enough to see that building an alliance based on things like gender, race, and age are things that have always happened, as well as SHUNNING people from working with you based on gender, race and age as well. As viewers of the show that dreamed to one day see a person of color win, the cookout was formed after these viewers had already seen people getting shunned or becoming targets based on nothing game substantial , most of the time the first batch of evicted house guest are almost always the people of color. This was multiple BB fans that saw the trend of people being left out of playing the game that they were no doubt rooting for , and they agreed to make their season a different experience. That is the core of what the cookout was. It wasn't a play on the "race card" that was based solely on race, but the trajectory of all prior seasons leading up too it , that didn't always allow people of color a fair shot to play the same game --- the cookout didn't create some new special privilege or anything of that sort. nobody has received "special treatment" based on skin color in this game , as evident by the negative perception of people of color even in the current game, everyone has been trying to play the cards they are dealt in the game and in life. Anyways that's my 2 cents, I love Big Brother and I hope that someday these aren't conversations the human species needs to have anymore. The concept of race is a mythology anyway, however until the systems that make racialized lifestyles a reality are dismantled we're stuck in the same song and dance in and outside of the bb house. :) Cheers !

It amazes me that all of the "mean girls" alliance members only mention Taylor being bullied by Daniel. Are they just so used to their own vile behaviors that they don't realize when they are trash talking, ostracizing and bullying another woman? Jasmine intentionally excluded Taylor from every conversation by sitting with her back to her. It's also clear that Rachel doesn't watch the feeds. Or if she does and still likes Jasmine so much, that tells me everything I need to know about Rachel.

All.DRs are supposed to be entertaining. Look.at Michael and Turmer. A lot of people are reaching with the Taylor hate. It's not her fault the show is centered around her when she is constantly in people's mouth, thought as a mastermind by her castnates and always put on the block. I agree that Michael and Brittany should of said something earlier but it's also really weird that some people are angrier with them than the actual racist. Kyle got a pretty soft edit, they cut out him calling Taylor, Monte, and Joseph loud, agressive, scum, and villains. He 100% threw out many microaggressions towards them and it was disgusting. What gets me even more is that Monte is on this crusade to get Michael & Britt out because of it but Michael literally saved him from eviction. Kyle was planning to backdoor him without any remorse. It's a weird situation but all in all I'm glad Taylor is safe and Kyle is out that door.

@@MrAWeezy86 I disagree, they knew if they said something it would cost them their game and guess what It did. Michael and Britt could've laid back and kept quiet and let Monte get backdoored, it would've got them further in the game and probably final 2 but they knew if they left that house without saying anything Twitter and reddit was coming for them. Michael specifically talked about how viscous both apps were.

I agree that Kyle needed to be held accountable, it doesn’t change the fact that what Michael did was distasteful.

@@brookcty It only cost them their game because they waited almost a month to expose it. When Kyle made his comments he was a number for them. The Leftovers were strong and running the game. It wasn’t until Kyle realized he was Turner’s back door target that he put the plan in motion to expose Kyle. Why would he want Monte back doored when Monte was a number for him and was apart of the four left over Brochella? The fact that the jury is questioning the timing also should tell u everything.
@brookcty
@brookcty 2 жыл бұрын
@@MrAWeezy86 Not true, even if Mike decided to tell everyone right away Kyle would've talked his way out of it. Look how Turner and Terence were still willing to keep him in the game after his racism. Lo's would've been destroyed and the people at the bottom of it would've been targeted which was Michael. So anytime he chose to expose it his game would've been ruined. So that's why I said if he kept quiet his game would be fine and he would still have the jurors on his side. Also, I guess you didn't watch the feeds during the week Brittany and Taylor were on the block because Kyle discussed it with Alyssa that he wanted to backdoor Monte and she agreed, he then went and pitched it to Turner. This is why when everything blew up Turner told Monte that Kyle was trying to get him up as a re-nom. And That's when Monte said he wanted Kyle out of the house. If Michael didn't say anything that week Monte was going up and was going to be voted out, Kyle was literally targeting all the strong POCs.

Taylor said that because she believed Brittany and Michael when they told her their (fabricated) reasons for waiting. He was just to Naive or dumb to think it would come back to bite him in the azz. Glad Kyle was exposed by 2 White HGs. So, there's hope that change the Cookout tried in 23 is actually working. Multi cultural HGs and fair chance. This cast was diverse and biggest alliance was. This is the take away, minus Kyle's paranoia and bigot tendencies. Doesn't make him racist yet. Love you guys... Well I only remember the gals. Goog work.

To do the interviews with jury members the interviewers send the questions to production and production filters the questions to make sure theres nothing in the question that would tip off the HG with any info they didnt know then production gives the questions to the HG and production records their answers and then sends them back to the interviewer.

The thing about Michael and Brittany bringing it up for game...what was the alternative? I didn't hear a lot of people at the time when Kyle first approached them with his theories saying they should run and tell the other houseguests. I don't recall seeing any re-capper say that. So the alternative was to never say anything? 🤷🏽 I understand the criticism of the timing of their reveal, but the move also saved Monte. Nothing else they could've done would have been as effective. I don't think they were trying to protect Kyle by not saying anything sooner. I think in the moment they didn't know what to say, and later reflection (and apparent diary room prompting) made them realize they should try to steer Kyle from that thinking. I understand why they would be uncomfortable sharing that information, but even with their questionable timing, I think it's a good thing they did tell everyone. Even if Kyle is traumatized by it all, I think it will be good for him in the long run and hopefully he will be grateful for it at the end of the day. I hope he remembers how much grace was given to him by Monte, Taylor and 🙄 Terrence. Jasmine is full of crap! 🤨😒 How are you being taken in by what she's saying? I would bet all my coins that she and Indy have talked crap about her in the jury house! For sure she wants Joseph in the jury house! Is she going to have a husband when she gets home??

Listening to Rachel and Hannah discuss what is acceptable of what you can/can’t use as your strategy? I would like to know what they think of Evil Dick’s strategy now? He attacked houseguest’s families and was personal. Big Brother would not allow that anymore. I would like Hannah to be more specific about why is it OK for the cook out to evict people 100% based on the color of their skin. What do Derek and Alyssa think about that?

Sadly, I think a situation like this was ALWAYS gonna be the downside of The Cookout and it was the bullet the 6 of them had to bite in order to get a Black winner. Regardless, of what you think about the Cookout, it was a very PERSONAL alliance that ruined a lot of people’s game(people inside and outside the alliance). Not only that, but it was a VERY invisible alliance. Due to how they operated and moved, but also due to the optics of calling it out as we see this season. There were times last season where members of the Cookout either didn’t like each other, didn’t trust each other and didn’t talk game. Them being aligned was only possible due to outside things because as we’ve seen the 22 seasons prior, the outside world bleeds into the house. Every great alliance tries to be recreated (hell people argue that BB17-22 were all just different versions of BB16). Every year, the girls all band together to take out “The Bros” and no one bats an eye even though that’s based on outside things as well. Once you put those definitive racial lines(BB22 laid the foundation)in the sand, it’s hard to cover them up and it unfortunately creates an unfair environment for POC in future seasons.

I don’t think Kyle’s Cookout 2.0 paranoia was fully warranted, but there were a lot of events in Taylor (& Joseph’s) sloppy HoH that unfortunately but purely coincidentally supported that theory: -Taylor not nominating Jasmine despite her hatred of Taylor and the otherwise LO consensus target. Which Taylor had a justifiably moral principle to follow up on; if this were the only event of the HoH, it would be no big deal. -Joseph pushing to keep the LO hidden despite the rest of the LO being fine with the reveal; primarily to protect Joseph’s Jury Management with Indy & Jasmine. As supported by Joseph still not revealing the LO to Indy in his Goodbye Message. This decision would leave an impression that Joseph & Taylor may have an ulterior motive for not wanting to draw the line in the sand (at least Taylor didn’t have the motive other than supporting Joseph) -The target flipping from Terrence to Indy to Alyssa for seemingly no reason. Terrence & Indy receiving “protection” (at Alyssa’s expense) as a result. -Joseph, Taylor, & Monte being the ones within the LO to push HARD on Kyle, to his face (compared to Mike & Britt who did it behind his back), using the veto to take out his own Showmance when two other viable targets were already on the block. Specifically, Joseph & Taylor telling Michael and Kyle that they wanted to threaten Kyle’s standing in the alliance if he refuses. Despite the alliance previously operating under the mantra of “if you feel uncomfortable, someone else can take the shot” yet for Kyle, they changed their stance. -- So, by pure coincidence, Jasmine, Terrence, and Indy all were being “protected” that week by the agenda that Joseph, Taylor, & Monte were pushing to get Alyssa out in a week that didn’t make sense to prioritize her on. There’s really only two narratives that can fit that series of seemingly irrational decisions 1) *The true reason* Excessive sloppiness 2) An alliance between those 6 HGs. Last year, DX & Claire were racking their brains trying to figure out why Xavier, clear mental/physical/social threat, was being irrationally protected (didn’t make sense for anyone’s games) so much to the point where they joked about something like the CO existing, this year it’s PURELY coincidental based on a series of sloppy decisions, but the result looked the same. Basically a Perfect S***storm of events during that week that all happened to align with “they might be working together”…

His initial theory during Michael’s HoH isn’t really relevant because he dropped that line of thinking pre-veto and didn’t bring it up again until Taylor’s HoH; indicating that there’s no real connection between the two periods of paranoia, otherwise he never would’ve fully verbalized to the camera that he dropped it. He only brought it back up when he was trying to rationalize “Why are they trying so hard to make me play a hand in getting Alyssa out this week instead of Jasmine, Indy, or Terrence”?
