This is a great little video - not sure how it's only accumulated 8.6k videos in a year, deserves much more. Nice work regardless man!

Dope breakdown, daws and plugins can emulate this trick but it comes at a cost like you pointed out
@gesamtkuntswreck3 ай бұрын
what plgins? I'd like to try them (I'm a composing grad so my daw knowledge suck) can't you also mitigate that by applaying the reinforcing frequencies in a aux track? like, develop bass' harmonics from the bass intead of boosting it in the track?
@BenCaesar3 ай бұрын
@@gesamtkuntswreck congrats on being a grad 🙌🏾as far as plugins: Waves RBass is a cheaper and solid plugin. Submarine is also good for lower sub ranges. Applying to an aux/send could work too, it can give more control but I’d monitor the mid/side changes too if it’s stereo. And generating additional harmonics within the synth could also work some modern synths have this built in. With Harmonics it just takes abit of math. Between the even and odd harmonics it’s worth remembering these all take up space and need to be considered for clarity. Anyway to summarize. Just experiment your ears will tell you what works or doesn’t. And with any type of producing the more your do it the better there’s no real secret 👏🏾

Another trick seems to be using oblong 'racetrack driver' speakers, to maximise surface area of the cone even in a small enclosure, and also passive radiators, which allow for a low resonant frequency without the space required for a port.

@@BoringVic Il a raison, c'est bien 50 Hz.

@MadrafTintagel Жыл бұрын

Super video sinon.

You need to study much about sound processors and signal feed forward and feedback.
