The Secret Beauty of The River Yealm in Devon. Episode 59

The river Yealm is very easy to pass by when you are sailing as it is so close to Plymouth Sound. We decided to visit the Yealm for the day. However, it was such an amazing, un spoilt place that we stayed for 5 Days. There is the choice of two pontoons and some visitor’s buoys. There is a pontoon to get fresh water, showers and stunning walks everywhere. A trip in the tender to Newton Ferrers is well worth the time. The village is like going back in time and such friendly people. The drone shows the river in its true spender as it is surrounded by wonderful English countryside and vast woodland leading down to the river. Please help us and subscribe to our channel. Very happy memories of the Yealm and like you we were told of its beauty long before we actually gave it a visit. Some friends who have a large and very seaworthy yacht in Sutton prefer the short jaunt to stay in the Yealm more than venturing further afield and spend a lot of time there. Good food and a warm welcome at the Yealm Yacht Club on Riverside Rd. and of course there the Ship Inn in Noss Mayo if you want to splurge on some Posh Nosh (best to walk to it though if the the tide is on the ebb!).

Hi Neil, great video, especially as we are moored on the lower pontoon at 3.30 in. The Blue hulled Rossiter with the teak deck. Do you have any more footage ?? Keron Full Circle
