The company is working hard to promote them and give them high quality comebacks, the stylist try their best to give them amazing outfits, the cgi team goes all out, their producers seem to be one of the most creative in the game, and the girls themselves try their best to develop their talents. With Blackpink and Girls Generation (at the time) being inactive as a group and not being interested in the new girl groups I was so ready to leave kpop but when I heard about Aespa debuting and I saw the black mamba teasers I was instantly hooked. Over the last year and a half I’ve connected with the girls so much and I’m so proud of how they are leading the 4th generation of kpop in such a short amount of time. Nasty bitter antis can try to defame and insult the girls but MYs will always be there to protect and defend them. They will continue to grow their fanbase in SK and internationally. While company privilege is indeed an advantage but it isn't all that positive. Red Velvet and NCT were having a hard time debuting because majority didn't understand their concept especially NCT. They did NOT GET the same popularity as aespa right now in their year. RV got big in late 2017 while NCT got big in late 2019. So what im trying to tell you is that company privilege doesn't make them successful right away but if we're talking about resources and quality music then yes, SM have it all and do they deserve it? Yes of course! SM worked their way up too!

After that i decided that i'm not going to listen to any other groups besides BLACKPINK but, suddenly one day a music video pops up on my KZbin name as BLACK MAMBA AESPA. My take/explanation for this is: people around the world want singers who makes unique remarkable music, not dancers, not people who gives out lip bites and winks on stage then call it 'stage presence', so you get 'aespa'. Out of all the 4th gen groups, aespa is the best vocally, but it popped out more cause of their great discography, yes they often don't sing live, yes they dance poorly sometimes, but you know they still are the real singers of this generation, all four have well developed and promising vocals (Giselle has more to offer yet is not done justice by the line distributions), you got two female rappers that wiped out the "poor female rappers" reputation of SM ent., And you got a never-done-before concept/lore + experimental hyperpop but still digestible music to most listeners. Why do i emphasize the "singer" you may ask, because well, what are these idols' main job? To sing, and to be great at it. Like, those dance moves, those smirks and smiles that people call 'stage presence', that's not what you'll find at Spotify and apple music, half of the world couldn't care less about these inkigayo performances, me personally, i only watch them for the new outfits, that's the reason why aespa is ahead and others are behind, aespa is from SM who really focuses on building singers instead of dancing dolls, others stray away from the real thing, so obviously they reach nothing more than that. Like, just because you turn on your mics doesn't mean you can sing. And then your fans have the gall to lash on aespa like, GO AWAY, take that nonsense somewhere else.

I didn't know a lot of things about aespa before til recently because of my friend who is also one of their hater, she told me that there is a girl group copying Black Pink and I was like "Okay! none of my business" since I'm not that big fan of kpop..but some fandoms were hating on them even more esp when they were invited to coachella, so so I wanted to watch their performance for the first time which was really amazing especially ningning's high notes, I kept following them and then I realized that it wasn't about "aespa is copying black pink" or "they are not talented" or blah blah blah.. I was fortunate enough to see Aespa at their LA Showcase (I actually went to both days because I am a very committed fan) it was absolutely incredible. We got to see them perform a few different songs and it was really cool to see them perform Illusion and Life's Too Short live!!! They also did a Q and A session and they did some TikTok challenges. It was so much fun!!!! The best part was that when they were performing Lucid Dream I waved at Karina and she waved back at me!!!! It made me feel so good to be noticed by her!!! I loved seeing Aespa live and I am so proud of them and I am really happy that they are killing it with their Promotions in the U.S.

The only thing I dont like here is that other 4th gen groups are totally changing their identity to become aespa, it's obvious that this kind of experimental songs with beat drops and crazy changes started in SM way baaack in 2010's, and it wasn't until Next Level that other kpop agencies found it like the key to sucess (but some groups can't cause this same effect even if they try). Aespa's music is really something unique in Kpop, if you just listen to their instrumentals, you will notice the amount of detail they put into it, as if their producers study the music so well before putting it out. I would like if each group had their own identity and stop trying to replicate this because then, that uniqueness isn't going to be the same.

To me they were great from the beginning and bever understood the hate they got. The inly thing that disappointed me was that they never perform lived. And then with the coachella festival they really showed a great live performance so NOW I can say they are pretty good all around.

I wondered why they know what happend to them in the future, they planned the concept, the what about what, song, the concept and stories was planned before debut, and after debuted the company keep using contorversy and trigged statement that could create hates to the group, so the group could have something to relate to the planned concept? So that they can gain whatswhat from their own doing and can continue the planned play victim concept?. The group is not even care about these they actually want the attention, the group is pretentious, and the concept is on the next level of manipulation, they even know and have specific reference about someting before it happened, they even create the way to make it happend so that they can continue the concept and story.

I was a predebut fan but I was never fully into them. not because of them, but because of life priorities. (they're songs are really good, I even learned Black Mamba). But i just decided to listen to their b-sides a few weeks ago... my mind was blown!!! I've never played an album so repetitively and my sister is annoyed cuz I never stop talking about it. they're truly amazing and I wish I had the money to buy pre-orders, but it doesn't matter. we've already achieved so much and I'll be hard-core stanning them from now on. can't wait for the release of Girls!!! 🎉

the real answer: aespa has a really strong Chinese fanbase. most of the sales come from dedicated Chinese fans. they’re also doing great domestically and internationally, so remaining sales come from that. but it’s the fact that they have a secure position in the Chinese market that made them a million seller.
