Thanks. Salt makes a difference for sure. Not the end all be all but definitely something worth considering.

If you make open pour baits you can just sprinkle some fine salt on the plastisol before it cools off instead of mixing it in.

Ive often windered if the bass can taste the salt. If you bite off a piece of plastic you can definitely taste it. Some baits softness obviously improve woth it or without it.

No idea if they can or not. Sink rate and texture are also affected by salt

Nice video... I have some problems adding salt in plastisol... Salt stay on the bottom and makes tones of bubbles...
@MattLunaFishing3 жыл бұрын
You have to stir the salt often to keep it off the bottom. Yes it can creat bubbles but most of the time will go away after heating. I’d try using less salt if it’s a problem.

I use dead on plastix sinking worm blend when I make my baits, and there isn’t really a need for salt to cause the baits to sink. You should try some dead on plastix it is a really good plastisol.

I have tried it. Sinking additives are available and i mentioned those in this video. Salt definitely makes baits sink tho!

Watch plastic companies you dont see the building smoke up cause the computer want allow it to get to that point an burnt it why the baits looks so good...

Yeah that part makes sense to me. Burning plastic doesn’t do anyone any favors.

Salt is cheep filler salt does not make the fish bite it its what you put in your bag like sent if you want your plastic sink try dead on sinking blend it is really good I don't use salt period
@MattLunaFishing10 ай бұрын
Sinking is sinking whether its salt or blend. You can manipulate sink rates with salt
@hillbillybassfisherman81813 жыл бұрын
its not the sinking salt first started just putting it on outside of the baits why? Cause everyone like salt on there food makes the fish hold them better.I showed people under water videos of fish hitting crankbait an spitting it out an guy said i never felt them big bass hit the bait.Its all about them holding the bait.what happens when you make your own you dont keep the plastic from burning in microwave an they want hold the bait but the salt takes out the burnt taste
@MattLunaFishing3 жыл бұрын
I can see what you’re saying and don’t disagree but the sinking the salt imparts does make a difference.
