The second voice you hear while Goku is in Ultra Instinct is the Oozaru voice (His primal instinct if you will). This was especially true during the 1st transformation in ep 109-110, where you can clearly hear the Oozaru roar *insert goosebumps here*. I listened for this during the 2nd transformation, but they either decided to change it or completely forgot to put it. His scream and voice as a whole in episode 116 is not the same as during the 1st transformation, the primal touch is gone... Maybe, it is because he is gaining a bit of control over it the 2nd time around and is not as unconscious... dunno... just my 2 cents

That actually explains why mastered Ultra Instinct Goku in the leaked image was stepping on Jiren's head, which reflects a villainous act done by evil people. So after fully mastering UI he was possessed by its uncouncious actions and his instincts just rekt Jiren so badly. Previously, he used UI but still thought about his attack. In the manga Beerus was able to use Ultra Instinct to fend off from the other gods of destruction for a short time, The gods of destruction angels All have Ultra Instinct or well what I believe. Wiess even said Goku would make a fantastic God of Destruction, but Goku declined not wanting to be one. When Goku went UI all the Gods of Destruction and Angels were Amazed. For someone to reject wanting to become a God of Destruction but have more power and understanding, the ability of Mastered UI than the Gods of Destruction not even able to use the MUI form is scary to them. UI is an ability of pure Divine Ki and Understanding of Creation and Destruction to defeat your foes with absolute ease, the Evasiveness of UI is Creation and the Attack Side is destruction. Creation is shown as white and Destruction as black usually when Goku was in Defense UI he had not mastered instinct of fighting that's why his hair only has silver tips and slightly silver eyes, when he masters it and has instinct of Defense and Attack with Goku being pure of heart and wanting the good for everyone he is one with creation, bringing out the complete White Silver Hair and Pure Silver eyes, he doesn't like destruction, and only has ever killed his foe when it was needed, that's also why he didn't get attack UI with defense until later, he's too pure of heart and believes there is good in everyone. He was so scared that his entire universe would be destroyed with everyone one he loves, he denied the fact of wanting it to happen and accended to his fullest of potential. The gods of destruction understand creation but don't really accept it, why they may not completely master UI, with Goku understanding Destruction and Creation he got Mastered UI. Goku ascends the power and role of God of Destruction and fills the role of an Angel of Destruction and Creation. Mainly why Weiss thought Goku would be perfect for the God of Destruction because Wiess knew he would be able to get the power of MUI. The heat they all feel but since it is so calm is the clashing of Destruction and Creation being able to understand both brings the calmness of the Heat they felt from Goku. Maybe it's what oozaru goku would be like if he's calm. Also, think about it, the powerup for oozaru was a given for any saiyan, you didn't have to be one of the select few to go super saiyan. But goku never tapped into his oozaru form though the dormant power still remained. This can be the shell that is broken that whis mentions. If you remember gokus face when he is hit by his own spirit bomb with his eyes going white while he snarls, that's the same face that a saiyan is shown to have before they go to the oozaru form. I don't think it's a possession at all but I think you are right Whis is concerned. I think because UI is a way to fight without thinking, he may be in danger of losing his consciousness. Not falling unconscious but losing conscious thought altogether. I don't think he's being possessed, exactly. I think you're close though. I imagine that to use it, you let your body work for you. You give yourself up and let your body work for itself. To master ultra instinct isn't to master some technique that you control, it's to give up control entirely, without losing your body in the process. It's like separating himself from his body, an out of body experience. Since it's only the defense half, I think he's only halfway out and thinking about attacking, which is why it's weak, but he basically cannot be damaged when he does it because he's not thinking about dodging, his body's doing that for him. It's instinct. Ultra instinct.

Considering Ultra instinct by definition is a form where “You act without thinking” And in order to master it he had to (as he was fighting Jiren) close his eyes to restrain thought into what he was doing giving him this “soulless” appearance. Tbh, I knew right away Goku was different when he was in UI. I mean the look in his eyes said it all... Its almost like his long lost Saiyan Saiyan side. Like the Oozaru form. Lets not forget that Goku hit his head when was an Infant. If you havent already gotten it. I think he's like a half Saiyan theoretically, like he retained some of his Saiyan attrobutes, like his love for fighting and SSJ Form's. But when Goku is in UI it's like he's complete, both of those sides combined, and Ui Goku is born. Instinct . Not possession . I agree with the theory that its his original saiyan instinct before hitting his head as a child, for example the true self coming out ei Kakarot.. He may have hit his head but his inner instinct was doormant not dead?? Whats your thoughts?

Had I seen this 5 months ago i would have fully agreed. Even still rather than a possession, I think it would be more of an emotionless husk with only primal instincts such as surviving and destroying. Great theory video though!

Yeah, like a number of others have stated, I think it's more of a disconnect between his body and his mind. Goku's mind is no longer in control of the body, instead his body is in control, and possibly he risks his body being in control of not only itself, but also the mind.

Ooh, nice. I noticed that a while back too. Though I never equated it to possession. More like, being stripped of your consciousness. After all, your body is moving on it's own to avoid damage. Yeah, it's your tapped abilities, but you aren't able to use them at free will. His expression is either raged or blank - not like he's a different person, but like he's not there. Kinda like how Whis was just carefree, dodging Vegeta and Goku during the movie "Fukkatsu no F". He wasn't all there and seemed rather ditsy, but he was at least able to enjoy everything around him because of his training from his sister (which he's mentioned learning from and improving upon during the 1000 years they parted). But... Goku's gotten mad before, and that's just instinct for mortals, so that's not hard to fathom why he would rage at Jiren when he tried to kill his friends... Yet, you could be kinda right, because the battle cry he had when in Ultra Instinct was that of him and another being with a dark tone - could be his primal side coming out, but it would still be a form of possession.

It's not possession, the drawback to UI is that you have to fight without knowing, fight without thinking. The further it improves the more absent your mind will get. Used too much I believe you can entirely lose yourself, and become a non-sentient being. There's more to it as well, we have seen pictures of a reddish aura surrounding the UI aura, I believe this is the uncontrollable rage that UI can bring out, and is possible to be the rage that you had before becoming non-sentient, which unstably entered and combined into a non-sentient being so the rage could not be contained since there was no consciousness to contain it, so it bursts out into a blasting red power.

It the demonic force, the complete opposite of angels ,the dark force that was shrouding around Goku, possibly unleashing the darker side of him , causing the opposite affect of his head injury he obtained as a child, releasing the evil that was bottled up inside

I don't think that it's "possession" by a third party being, but I do think that someone could lose themselves while in this form. They could, as Toppo would say, "Give up something", and that would be the person's sanity or conscious to truly attain a more perfect form. But I think that it's being limited by it being a Temporary Form that goku has, rather than a learned thing that is in his base form. He could lose himself and then power down out of it because of stamina. "The Dark Side", in my theory, is being pushed beyond your limits that the body destroys its own consciousness and personality to attain a stronger fighting style so it can survive. I'm imagining Gon's eyes from Hunter x Hunter if he loses himself

They straight up say in the anime in order to use ultra instinct you can’t think and just let your body move. Goku can use it to move but he doesn’t have it when it comes to attacking. He starts thinking when it comes to attacking. So that is why he isn’t excited or smiling because he can’t think of doing that or he’ll get out of ultra instinct

Clarifying question: when goku fought Jiren using ultra instinct was he also stronger than ssb or was he only able to move without thinking?

I think the reason why he is like this is because he is not as conscious. I mean think about he is using more of his instinct than his mind. In other words he is autopilot. He could kill somebody and not even care in this technique.

Wow that's an interesting theory. I did notice something tho, whenever he fired that blue beam at jiren while using ultra instinct his voice just wasn't his, it's as if someone or something was awakening inside him and ready to come out, or it's as if something really powerful was controlling or, as u said, was possessing him, but the voice was echoing all over the fighting stage and it gives me the impression that something is present at the place where the tournament is being held, something that even the grand priest or zeno didn't even notice. I do gave another thought tho, what if the void was being used to imprison something that could be potentially even more powerful than the grand priest and zeno but was sealed away so it couldn't really do anything. Then somehow it managed to possess goku and was ready to take revenge on the one who imprisoned and sealed it away. I think that could be really interesting, lemme know what u all think.

You all do realize that no matter what, Goku does know to finish fights when he has low stamina, right? That is all that happened this 2nd time in Ultra Instinct. He is not possessed or ‘dark’ in any way. He knew that Kefla is stronger than any other power he has, so he had to finish it. This ACTUALLY shows that he is more focused, not that he is ‘lost’ in this form.

Episode 129 can confirm this dark side theory. When Goku suddenly got hit by something and Whis sai that it was the toll of the limit breaking power. I think Goku trying to be the Super Saiyan God is stupid. He doesn't have the genes of the Super Saiyan God yet he achieved it... That's because Goku's SSG form isn't the real SSG. Goku is meant to be an "Angel" and Vegeta is meant to be the SSG. Whis told Vegeta that he would train Vegeta to be a God of Destruction right? Vegeta has the gene of the original SSG. If Vegeta turns to SSG, he will be a real, true SSG. This is just a theory and an intuition at the same time.
