Nope. It is the same technique as wukong's, the 72 transformations, orthodox Taoist magic. And the guy had more magic methods other than that. He used 9 turns divine ability to buff himself with super high defense which is "the shield" in the game. Further more, his spear is 50% heavier than Jingu Bang, as the result, wukong always ended up shaking whenever he went melee with erlang in OG lore. He used axe for armor break attacks, spear for melee fights and shoot arrows at distance, literally no weakness at all ranges. Further more, his private army *not heavenly army* is more powerful than wukong's private monkey army. The monkey army was routed at the first impact.

You need more stamina dude - you can equip back scratcher curios. You can also improve multiple stats by using collected mind cores at Xu Dog. Improving stamina recovery rate, mana, and health (for me in that order) is important. Also I noticed you take hella damage on attacks, improve defense as well and you’ll be flying through all bosses. Love your videos and can’t wait for the God of War series. I’ll be here for it

What happened in that last cutscene was all a plan made by Erlang and Wukong. Wukong killed himself at the beginning of the game because he didn't want to be shackled by the headband. The reason Erlang said the win is his is because the Destined One is a reicarnation of Wukong. That black dust coming out of Erlang's 3rd eye was Wukong's mind, the last relic, and when he releases the black dust, he is giving Wukong's mind back to you and thus completing Wukong's reicarnation.

This exactly what I mean, if you use the chespiece with legs with the 2 set bonus tht gives bonus focus on perfect dodge and bull goats helmet and arms, all upgraded to mythical, and the staff you craft with the bishui beast fragment + spellbind and investing all your mind cores in mana, health, defense and shock resist ur set, in the begging of the battle use your transformations to pop his shield, damage, once shield is up again use fan then spellbind and it’s ggs Edit: oh yeah staff spin destroys his shield but he won’t let you land it for too long

So I haven't watched the video yet. Just so you know there are two endings to this game. You get one ending when you beat Erlang then the final boss Sages Broken Shell. The other ending you get by beating the Sages broken shell without beating erlang. So the best way you could've done it was to fight the last boss of chapter 6 then get your ending then go back in the game and beat Erlang THEN beat the Sage broken shell again for the true ending.

@dantesos7564 yes if you want the true ending and the 6th relic you have to do it that way. the 6th relic alone is 100% worth it but on top of that you get the tri point spear that utilizes thrust and when you do a forceful thrust you shoot foward a bunch of swords like Erlang does in the fight.

Any charged heavy attack your clones will do the same attack in sync for the same amount of damage. So it's like 6 of you smashing your charged attack at the same time.

I finally beat him. I changed my gourd to supreme, changed the soaks for crit and dmg reduc, went basic staff moves using ring of fire (bc u did) and pillar stance helped me get out of some shots/waves. I barely used the fan if 1x using the stone spell more and the wandering wight. When he hits the 2nd or 3rd stage where he gets more aggro, i found that, instead of creating distance between us, i should stay as close as possible to him while dodging towards him everytime he swung as opposed to dodging back or sideways. That was what i think helped me beat him this time. Now im still confused about if i can get the good ending or not since i beat the sage before erlang... do i have to beat the sage 3xs again? 😭
