I really enjoy going to King’s Cross. There’s really lovely old backstreet boozer. The charles I. They have live music. I’m going tonight. There’s a really good Gypsy Jazz band. I sing in a Jazz band too. Lovely old pub. Northdown St.

@@vlloyd46 Thanks for the pub recommendation. I love gypsy jazz too. One of my favourite London pubs is the Red Lion in Duke of York Street in St James. An old gin palace.

A fantastic look into one of London's most famous streets. As with so many areas of London back in the day, it was incredibly and very visibly sleazy. The man telling the story of dirty old men sexually abusing cattle is sadly all too believable for London in those days. Today, Caledonian road still has many problems but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be.

It looks alright when this was filmed.Shame for the folk moved of the land to house the rich though.I live near Glen Ochil Prison in Scotland and it really does look and feel like a prison. No one is doing that to cows around our way though😮 Wow that Aussie guy has a strange idea of a shithole😮

Why was it called the Caledonian road ?

@@RachaelClarkeClarke Originally known as Chalk Road, its name was changed after the Royal Caledonian Asylum for the children of poor exiled Scots, was built in the area in 1828. The building has since been demolished and its site is occupied by local authority housing, the Caledonian Estate built 1900-7.
