In this video I teach you one ict concept to replace them all. This is something I've discovered after watching tens of thousands of candles worth of price action. The Manipulation Block is created by Casper SMC and none other. Follow all rules given in the video if you want to use this correctly.

I always tarde my own accounts but I was looking to try a prop firm. In researching them I watched the video you posted today, June 12, 2024. After that I was headed to watch your Full ICT Course (I still intend to finish it) but this video came up and I was intrigued. Everything you said in the video today was me. But due to that, I am better able to understand these concepts. In the past ICT used to make my brain cloud over with fog. Thank you so much for making this crystal clear. I already use FVGs, OBs, FIBS and the dead cat bounce pattern which makes it so easy for me to see the MB candle. I am just floored on how much easier you made this for me to trade and take my trades to the next level. Thank you, again.

This is just a regular orderblock. ICT has taught that high probability orderblocks form at key highs and lows (remember PD array matrix?). He also taught the fib levels for OB ranges during private mentorship. Dexter also taught this, remember a OB is just a BB in a LTF.

Just a few things: 1) This entry model should only be sought between 7am - 11am NY time? Is it applicable to the PM session of NY an hour before close? 2) Is it safe to try this entry on EURUSD and GBPUSD in case NAS100 doesn't have a setup for the day? 3) Regarding timeframe correlation, you used M15 - M1, and then D1 - M15. If the POI is using H4 or H1, I'm assuming the entry is in M5?

Standard deviation measures the dispersion of a dataset relative to its mean and is calculated as the square root of the variance.. you are using your target of 4 as a unit of measurement comparative to the area you chose to measure with your zero to 1. -1 is a 1 to 1 risk reward, -2 is a 2 to 1 and your -4 is a 4 to 1 reward to Risk. It is not a std deviation of a data set. Not trying to be mean or to troll anyone but properly educating your viewers provides more legitimacy to the information you are providing.
@caspersmc
@caspersmc 5 ай бұрын
100% correct - in trading analysis standard deviation is a commonly used term for replicating a measured move. You are correct though in terms of data of course - which is not what we're talking about.

@@caspersmc😂 commonly used in trading? why? Because ICT made a mistake, spread away and now the mistake becomes a “standard”? The famous bollinger bands uses the correct definition of standard deviation though.

Exactly 'measured move' should be used. IT is not a big deal to use 'standard deviation' the idea is the expansion comes from mb and this momentum is measured by the range of mb candle as if mb candle was a mean of the uptranding channel. IT also makes sense a a concept.

ICT himself kinda already taught this. He has always said that candle closing through liquidty is preferred for a "real" confirmed sweep. But what your highlighting is actually a CiSD (Change in State of Delivery) This is defined as a candle CLOSE sweep through a relative euqal highs/lows liquidity level and has sweep reversal confirmed by the first opposite color candle that closes past the full body of the liquidation candle.

I feel more confident understanding this concept. I'm applying it to past sessions, and it's impressive how accurate it is. For me, getting the mechanics is the easy part; executing is the combination of mechanics/technical analysis, confidence and conviction to let 'er rip, with the SL in place, of course.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I have seen other teachings on this topic, but the main difference here seems to be 1) the piercing of the OB area or FVG and 2) the measurement is on the one candle that gets engulfed vs. the range that started the move up or down to the point of reversal. Hope this makes sense. I've watched the video three times, and this is my takeaway. I'd like to see some more examples of this unfolding in the charts.

Alway make sure to explain why. For example why does support become resistance? Because people want their money back and their trading with money that is not theirs. So for this manipulation situation (fake breakout), a wick will keep the more caution trader out of the breakout trade because it didn't close outside the level. But a confirmed close rather than a wick will get many more breakout traders in so a reversal will have that much more impact as those traders will have to cover.

A great video thanks and I look forward to testing it out next week. Just one question though, the HTF/LTF relationship is obviously important. In the example you used moving from daily to 15 minute might not have worked if you had jumped down to the 5 minute because that 15 minute candle would have been made up of 3 x 5 minute candles. So which HTF/LTF combo's do you recommend?
@maeishoj
@maeishoj 4 ай бұрын
i mean if one wants to be "precise" since it's refered to OB as an ICT concept - than one should use ICT's own definition and not "some people do this" some people do that. Then it's not an ICT OB. OC is the last bearish candle with the largest body prior to a large expansion. If it's a large candle body you can use the mean threshold as a way to decrease your SL. smaller candles are lower probability and you use the top of bottom wick area.

So what if theres no close below swing point, yet market goes way up from a simple pinbar candle that didnt close below swing point? Does this just work when it works? And other times market can shoot straight up even tho no candle closing below a swing point?

Or does the body of the pinbar only count, and not the tail? If thats the case the manip blosk almost closes below pin bar's body bui not quite, no matter what tf I use. 5m, 30m, hour, 4hr, dont matter what tf I use, the candle doesnt close below the swing point today at 12'20 pm on QQQ. It dug into OB and went up 3 dollars but no closing of any candles below swing point. I guess it's just not how it works on every swing back up? Some swings just dont get a manipulation block? Btw, thanks Casper for all your help.

Amazing video. I learnt something new & mechanical. Golden stuff and I am eager to backtest. Thinking of combining this with Silver Bullet & Unicorns. There is a video suggestion. Thanks alot!!

Awesome video! For a 15min FVG, is the 1min timeframe OR 5min timeframe better for locating the manipulation block?

Great video but a close on one TF is a wick on another so what is the time frame correlation? eg HTF 15 min LTF 1 min? Hope you get my meaning.

Would be nice to know which specific HTF FVGs work with which LTF executions.

Little confused why wasn’t the first move down a valid entry time in the video was 13:34…it appears that it pulled back into the fvg…it appears it also had a sweep of the low…and that it was engulfed
