Geologists just look at rocks, right? In this talk, Chris invites you to reimagine the almost unimaginable ways in which geology shapes our lives and livelihoods. Chris Jackson is Director of Sustainable Geoscience at the engineering consultancy Jacobs and Visiting Professor of Basin Analysis at Imperial College London. Chris works in the general area of sedimentary basin analysis. When not studying rocks, Chris gives geoscience lectures to the public and in schools, having appeared on several, Earth Science-focused, television productions and podcasts. Chris is engaged in efforts to improve equality, diversity, and inclusivity in Higher Education. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

@@tommyirish-jones1564 no he does not. He clearly points to a spike in temperature that, he said, is correlated to the mass extinction. He is just flat wrong!

@@Geo_Babenope, he points to a spike in the graph (which I don’t know where is coming from), and the spike is at about 95 million years.
