Bobby Ryan is a great hockey player. His early life almost destroyed his opportunity to play hockey professionally. I lived in Owen Sound during his days playing with the Owen Sound Attack. I'm very thankful I had the opportunity to see him play then - AND now. Keep playing great hockey, Bobby. I' cheering for you.

We talked about his rehab, obviously that first game back, Olympics, World Juniors, etc. As a UFA, he says he wants to be picked up by Nashville, if any team wants to pick him up, since he just recently moved there with his wife and kids.

Original air date of this was 2013. Bobby has had an okay career and 2017 seemed to be his best, but he’s continued to struggle with personal issues. And he’s still struggling with alcohol. Is anyone shocked he’s already once divorced and immediately remarried? You don’t witness your father beating your mother nearly to death, see your mom forgive that kind of behavior, watch your dad skip the country (again, mom approves of that behavior), move you away from your home, force you to live a secret life for years - all during your formative years - and not come out on the other side f* up. Telling your kid all these bad behaviors were done under the pretense of helping you?!? That isn’t love, that’s narcissistic and fear-based personalities justifying their behaviors under the guise of love. These parents didn’t do anything for Bobby; they did it for themselves.

So he beats his wife, jumps bail, isn’t owning up to his crime, runs to another state, and his wife decides to join him and put Bobby in that situation!? What kind of family is this? Poor Bobby, he deserved better than that. And they use his hockey as an excuse to make this all ok. The father says he’s doing it for his son? If he cared about his son he wouldn’t have gotten into this mess in the first place.
@videogameplayer05524 жыл бұрын
The wife joined him and put him in that situation because she forgave him. Something you don’t really understand. Also, they moved to California, because that’s where they had good hockey programs for Bobby, and he played in the 2001 Quebec international peewee hockey tournament, with the LA jr Kings. California just provided Bobby with a good hockey environment, and now he’s in the NHL, so yeah. Don’t complain.
