Hun, william and patri knew each other longer than he knew Julius. And when he saw Julius get stabbed, he even cried. He literally said "I won't choose sides, i will let them fight and the person who won is the one who I'm helping" and Julius lost. And he didn't choose Julius' side bcuz patri was like a twin brother to him. Maybe you just don't understand that he is too kind to choose sides -_-

Take a look at the name William itself. "From the Germanic name Willahelm, which was composed of the elements wil "will, desire" and helm "helmet, protection"." Also more meanings: " the determined protector" & "the royal". This name is very well chosen for him. He's one of my favourite characters in Black Clover. I think he also hates himself for not protecting both persons he cared deeply for ("And then instead of choosing, I just left it to the both of you... Such a sad excuse of a man, I am.")

Yes! I just love William so much. He is so kind although he was treated so badly in his youth. And even after that it has hurt him so much that he distanced himself emotionally. Also, William is apparently (like me) an INFJ which means that he's too good, too kind and too considerate of others for his own good. And this was also basically the reason why the elf-invasion could happen. William just showed too much compassion - or rather I see it also like William. What happened to Patry was awful and we are to empathic to draw a line- especially William who shared a body with him. This is why I think it was legitimate that William decided to abstain himself and to not choose a side.

In the sense that he was neutral to both his closest friends (Julius and Patri) . I do think the innocent CK citizens dying is obviously wrong and Vangaence himself feels terrible about it and admits he’s in the wrong for it.

There is a MBTI Database (called personality-database.com) were basically every fictional and non-fictional actor are in there with their MBTI types. From what I saw they are almost every time correct. But tbh, I personally would've also associate William with an INFJ, probably alone because he's a lot like me or rather because I can sympathies with his choices and character. And also, Patris actions were not Williams. William would never have done the things Patri have, but because he sympathizes with him (and got this close brotherly-like relationship) he just came to the point where he couldn't bring himself to interfere anymore. I certainly wouldn't liked to be in his shoes. Hard choices.

🙂🙂I can be wrong, but i think his character was created to kill the wizard king, because the wizard king was so OP even for today standards that no one could kill him or defeated him in battle. I think it was a very interesting idea and it was like (orochimaru vs sarutobi: Naruto anime!) the teacher was much stronger, but he could kill his student. Nicely done video and for once there is no talk of execution or exile. Also the newest episode does help further show off both William's charisma and willingness to take up tasks that would help restore peace and order in the kingdom slowly repenting for his sins. He has a long way to go of course, but the fact that he was even the one to suggest he should no longer be captain after what he did shows how aware he is of this. He's not evil. He's not right for just standing back and letting Patri kill Julius and threaten the kingdom, but you can see where he is coming from. Some of his actions are wrong, but I also wouldn't call them down right evil. He's not a victim... well, of abuse, he is. But when it comes to Patri residing in his body, that's not quite the truth. But he's also not really the one that initiated anything. I do want the other captains to confront William, yes and I'd like to see a scene where he is on his own processing things to see where he actually stands, not just where he seemingly stands in everything... but I definitely don't want him to get killed off any time soon. It would be good for Mereleona and Silva to confront him especially, since his actions led up to the wounding and knocking out of Mereleona's brother and Silva's rival and friend. I'm sure they are angry, and that shouldn't be glossed over. Though I can certainly see why Julius chose forgiveness over anything else. I'd also like to see if he likes any other animals, has anything more to his character, abilities and skills, as well as how he views the people around him now.... But that can hopefully wait.

Ill explain for you i assume you’re caught up to the manga watching this video The Wevil(word devil) used a reincarnation spell on all the elves to send them 500 years in the future but chose patri as the person he was going to trick to get him to summon the devil in his body form(because we know how much patri loved licht and that he still was questioning the prince even though we know how close licht and lumiere are) and patri and william are able to switch souls with each other because like i said the wevil had picked him for a different kind of reincarnation spell thats makes the reincarnation work sooner The other elf souls that were sent 500 years to the future manifested in bodies with similar personalities/looks and or similar magic to what they had before In patris case he was also too young to have a grimoire which is why he has got his own grimoire once william turns 15-16 forgot what age you get them at and the devil somehow knew he would get the fourth leaf so that he could turn it into a fifth leaf And with real licht there was no one like him in the humans and had to be an artificially made body Sorry my explanation not the best but if you have more questions about anything i said lmk ill try and help you

Also its still not been mentioned but im sure will be within the end of the elf arc But theres a couple things it could be as why yuno was still himself He had the soul of tetia and lichts UNBORN child inside of him so it could be that because the child was not born yet that it had no hatred towards humans and that would allow yuno to be the one to bring human and elves together since he is hybrid Another’s that yunos will power keeps him in control of himself like how asta did not fall unconscious and kept himself in control against the devil in his grimoire during witch queen arc
