Try a FOIA request at ANY police department. The moment you do, a cop will approach you, demand ID and do everything to stop you. Filing a complaint against a cop? You will likely be arrested.

Prosecute them. Perjury is a felony. Obstructing an investigation, lying to investigators, lying in a police report and tampering with evidence (which includes witness statements and body cam footage) are also illegal.

I guarantee you that if I had a criminal record, it would be readily available to virtually any police officer almost immediately. I've had the same driver's license number for 60 years. Had a social security card longer than that. If cops break the law, they should be in a national database.

I have had a cop lie about what happened on a stop. But sadly the judge believes the cop regardless of any evidence that says otherwise. I look forward to the day when all law enforcement must wear a body camera.

I just wish that they would hold them accountable for what they are doing I have witnessed a Couple of Ogden City Officers pull us over open up my car door pulling my boyfriend from the car yelling quit resisting As they hit him and both jumping on him I could not believe this was happening He yelled at me telling me to get the f on the side walk I told him I was trying to shut my car door I had my cat He told me to get on the sidewalk he did not give a f about my cat Because he was going to the pound and I was going to jail I told him for what He put his light in my eyes telling me to shut the f up and tell him I had been using drugs I told him no I was not telling him that he made me put my cat in the car cuffed me and telling me he was taking me to jail to take my blood This was so crazy he had already had the dog walk around my car He then started busting all my Christmas gifts I had just got from my sisters and he got to the back drives side telling me as he pulled something from his vest pocket look what I found I said you liar that's yours you did not find that in my car He yelled its yours I said wow really The other officer that was called after said was it in her reach He yelled its hers I asked the officer what was I going to jail for he said he did not know he was just transport This story gets worse I just want to know why they are not held accountable for misconduct And what can been done to make them accountable Who will do anything about this kind of misconduct The same officer has pulled us over 4 times and doing this and nothing gets done this is sad how they can turn your life up side down for nothing Because I write complaints on them I get retaliation from them what can I do it just don't stop they want to make my life bad and I just can't believe they are not investigated They say they will but nothing gets done Please tell me who can we turn to

I'm fighting a case in Utah county where an officer negligently investigated the case only did one side arrested me at work put me in jail took over a month to get a public defender my rights have been violated multiple times and still is the judge last month saw some of my evidence for the 1st time due process was violated and during my interview I asked 2xs in the beg for counsel was ignored then when I told him he was violating my rights and wanted counsel he said he didn't violate my rights and I don't get an attorney this det was on Fox news stating when he trains rookies he hammers into their brains about people's rights but yet ho violated mine he omitted statements and falsefied evidence to make me guilty even went as far as influencing an organization not to show up to court for 3 subpoenas had undercover cops watch me at work I've been thru 4 judges 8 prosecutors and I have all the evidence proving my innocence but they are still dragging me to trial because they known once they dismiss my case they will have a 42 USC 1983 civil case I spent over the last year learning law I'm not a career criminal but since they know I have a huge case which is scratching the surface of a supreme court case so rather than take accountability they have done everything to obstruct my justice I'm starting complaints on everyone involved in my case for their wrong doing I can see if I was a career criminal which before this i got my 1st class A misdemeanor at 38 yrs old but to put me thru this is unethical and cruel and unusual punishment and a violation of color of law as well as the civil rights act of 1866 violating my rights which are inalienable without due process which I didn't get if you want a good story of someone wrongly accused due to 4 state employees conspiracy to put me in jail which I have in writing on the conspirators who are behind this case why it started from the supposed victim I would love to put this out to the media and public of this tyranticall justice system and what they have done to me an innocent US citizen if you comment back the story is yours these people need to be exposed please help

the real problem is that our court started allow police officer to lie during interview "interrogations" so if they think they can lie, then they can lie any time, remember all they need is a high school diploma to be cops , so if you allow a high schooler to do something they think they can apply it to everything, I believe that a cop can lie when they have reasonable anticable suspicion of a "real crime" not a traffic violation, but not un till then, also I think it should be mandatory " federally" for police to tell you why they stop you when doing a traffic stop, the reason for this is because 2 thing will happen, 1 they bad guy will try to get away giving the officer the legality to arrest or detain the person, 2 the not guilty person wont have to be hurt by cop that don't want to give an answer about the stop, and I think supervisor should be mandatory to show if requested by civilian and they need to get at least 2 years of constitutional law under their belt to be able to be supervisor, if I don't have the right to know why I got stop by my employ, I should have the right not to pay taxes to cover that employ salary. we pay them we have the right to know everything about their job. and I think all the cops that are in the list should be moved to desk duty for 2 year then they can go back with matching salary for the job, will make them think twice about not telling the truth again
